short version, my mom got some fishes home in a small tank, i got her something simple, new tank, some stone and a whisper system. is there anything i should add to this, or that i will need to do on a monthly bases. i would to keep this as simple as i can for her, but still "nice"...

You should do a 50 percent water change monthly or 20 percent per week depending on what kind of fish you have.

Depending on what fish there are, I find a monthly water change too little. But if you put a couple of live plants in there, it would help the chemistry.

Couple of questions before further advice is given:
1) What kind of fish do have?
2) How many of what species?
3) What size tank do you have, and does get sunlight at all?

i know there are 3 types, the smallest being 1/2 inch and silver and the biggest 1 1/2 more on the orange side with 6 in total

she has had the two months, but they tend to die with her water changes, this was y i got the setup for her. oddly i would like to add some live plants for her.

Yea guys, I have a tank I want to get rid off, and it so happens it has some fish and stuff that will go with it. Its an IBC TANK that I cut to breed fish in...........and did they breed!!! I started with 10 big M. Auratus cichlids, and three months later, I now have about 100.

You are getting:
1) The IBC tank (with lock off valve)
2) A piece of curved drift wood approx. 2 yards long
3) A few rocks that the cichlids like to hide between
4) Approx. 100 M. Auratus Cichlids ranging 1" to 4" (there are about 13 big ones, and they are breeding rapidly.
4) Approx. 20 Powder Blue Cichlid (Pseudotropheus Socolofi)
ranging 1" to 4"
5) Approx. 20 Pink Zebra Cichlids ranging 1" to 4"

Note: NO FILTRATION IS INCLUDED. Sorry.

Price on package: $1000.00 Call DJ 722-1263.

Any tank less than 8ft will be too small to house them koi and sharks together. Dont know why people but koi and Iridescent Sharks and put them in an aquarium. They are pond fish. Those sharks can get to 3 ft if properly taken of. If not properly taken care of, they will get stunted, and eventually die prematurely. Same goes for the Koi.

3ft is joke, that's the same thing they selling in pricesmart...fillets of swai aka iridescent catfish. The body remains small, but the organs continue to grow so eventually.... X(
