I use 3 36" finnex fixtures, a Ray 2, Planted+ and Monster Ray.

I got the harlequins from fishy bizness. They bred a couple times in the tank but the apistos ate them out.

Low tech for now. 2x 54 watt t5 6500k. Dosing flourish and excel. Growth is Kinda slow but steady. Stauro as carpeting plant, some bronze crypts here and there, cabomba, swords, wisteria and some other tall plant as background.

flourish makes life so easy, really helps my plants in the crappy light i have them in...need to get something that won't cost an arm.

i'm doing a 4ft tank with 8 T12 fluorescent bulbs, 5000-6500k spectrum.
you can get cheap fixtures that will provide more than enough light mecalli.

Why t12? T5 and t8 have a higher cri than t8. Plus both are more efficient. They cost more though.
