'Breaking Bad' prequel series 'Better Call Saul' is coming to AMC

If you've been mourning the coming end of AMC's Breaking Bad, today's a good day: the network is moving forward with a spin-off series based around the adventures of Walter White's attorney, Saul Goodman. Deadline reports that the show is tentatively titled Better Call Saul, and will actually take place before the events of Breaking Bad.

Played by Bob Odenkirk, the character of Saul Goodman is a favorite of both fans and Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan, and the idea for a spin-off has been floated for some time. AMC has now closed the licensing deal it needed with Breaking Bad producer Sony Pictures TV, and the show is expected to get a series order once deals are closed with Odenkirk, Gilligan, and Peter Gould, the writer-producer that co-created the character. It will be an hour-long show that is expected to focus more on the lighter side of things — no surprise given the nature of the Goodman character, but according to Deadline it wasn't necessarily a given that the show would land at AMC. Multiple other networks, including Netflix, were in conversations about the spin-off before AMC closed the deal.

I guess all bad must come to an end. I think vince did a fantastic job with the transformation of walter white. Jesse somewhat remained the same. But if you watch the first season compared to this last season, if you never saw the show you woild believe that the walter white character was replaced by another.
But oh how I wish this series can end on a positive note and everyone lives. But I guess not

f*ck that

Jesse ratting Walt out to the DEA even after Walt bailed him out so many times.

Even though Walt is a manipulative bastard, Jesse's incompetence should land him in a barrel of acid.

Jesse's f*ck ups
bringing Krazy8 and the other guy to the RV
using acid in the bath tub to dispose of the body
killing the RV battery and wasting the last of the drinking water
losing his $ to Tuco, getting kidnapped by Tuco, and still expecting Walt to split his money
giving the story of Walt/Jesse to Jane and allowing her to blackmail Walt
shows up high/late for initial meeting with Gus
after rehab and begins selling again, tells Walt he'll rat him out to the cops if he's caught
goes to rehab to sell to addicts
paying the cashier with meth allowing Hank to hunt him down
convinces Walt to replace Gale with him, then steals product from Gus
attempting to poison the 2 gang bangers
getting high and almost getting in a shootout with the 2 same gang bangers
causing video camera to be installed in the lab because of his shenanigans
gets his $ stolen by a meth head when his house was a meth den
allowing Gus to put a divide between him/Walt
sudden change of heart and 'donating' his blood money in the poor neighbourhood eventually getting caught

I'm sure there are others, but Jesse deserves to die

very very epic episode. This series is definitely the best I've seen in a long time. Wtf could possibly happen in the last two episodes.

After confessing to letting Jane die? I doubt it.

Walt feels totally betrayed by Jesse. The ricin may even be for him...

Todd is a cold blooded killer though. I like his style. Chain that beyotch Jesse in the lab and have a picture there to remind him who could get hurt if he makes the wrong choice. Motivation 101 - it's not just about you anymore.

I like how he put his coveralls on at the end and casually says "let's cook" normel normel. Rel psychopath business

Psychopath is the best label for him. He feels no emotion, polar opposite of Jesse.

You know that phone call wasn't genuine right. Him being all "Heisenberg" over the phone, decides to take all the blame, and gets Skyler off the hook.

He was on the brink of tears for the entire phone call, as he knew it was the end.

Yeah the whole "you had no right to discuss what I do, what the hell do you know about it, nothing, it was me, me alone, nobody else" was just to absolve her from everything. I'm sure he knew the police were there and would be listening. Could also see it hurt to turn Hank's death around and use it so the police would think he was threatening her.

Walter White is a bigger monster than anyone in Westeros.
