Beer

Postby Racers Edge » July 29th, 2009, 10:53 pm

^^
the green abbot is pretty good, but old speckled hen is glorious

when I went to the world cup in germany in 2006...every town we visited in Bavaria had their own special brew...

my favourite was Rothhaus, Tannen Zapfle, from the black forest region..
beer heaven... :P

why not have a beer appreciation event???

because idiotic trinis only appreciate carib and stag. which could be renamed river water and salty piss, and still sell by the gallon daily.

over the years us trinis have been brainwashed into thinking there is nothing else but carib and stag....

d first time I had a german beer, it was so amazing the different taste, texture, aroma... I mean truly ...stag is canal water compared to that...

in Bavaria beer is brewed in strict accordance with the Rhinehesgebot..the 1516 purity law that states:

the only ingredients allowed in beer are: water, hops and barley

lets organise a beer appreciation night... everyone bring a six pack of their favourite and we'll swap a few

You can get old speckled hen at Xtra foods in grand bazaar. Hoegaarden, Miller Sharp and Coors lite ftw! Would really love if local brewers began selling their stuff though, to me all lagers taste a little too similar :|

The Unipet gas station/360 shop in St. Augustine (around Lakshmi, UWI North, etc) has some ales -- London Pride, London Porter, IPA, ESB, Old Speckled and a few others... about $18/500ml tin and they're open 24/7.
