I just put in a tau slide motor from him. Second install from him.

They charge a lot of extra remotes though ($350), $50 for extra key
just ordered a couple generic remotes on ebay ($5usd) to try out.

Bumping for Info. Need to replace my current gate - TAU. Had to replace two control boards and now the transformer seems to have failed. Any recommendations? Called some people. One guy came so far from Anlyn Services. Recommending a SEA Motor (Saturn 600). First time I'm hearing of the brand. Any reviews?

check out Quiko, they have been around longer (48 years) than TAU, Bennica, BFT, SEA or any other Italian brand you can possibly name as well as they manufacture for 75% of the Italian market as an Oem manufacturer, motors have heat sinks and very high quality build, also they give a 4 year warranty. Call 312-7897 Jarks Enterprise, they also have an extensive gallery of installations on facebook.

Check D and S Gate motors, they supply garage doors and TAU sliding gate operators. Also, controls and receivers for all gate operators and grarage doors. Careful as some installers advertise their chiney brands as italian.

Somebody in the misc for sale has a tau for sale
Tau is headache with remotes though
The newer rolling code ones damage easy and you have to buy original $500

For my property, you can call the box and press a code and the gate would open

Has anyone tried the Quiko motors from Jarks? If so what is the after sale service like and what about the motor itself in terms of durability and performance?

I am interested in their high speed swing motor. Is either this or a Tau.

dont use profellment brand, they claim its italian but i suspect it is not. cant find a re seller online anywhere in the world except a company in Clayton bay and their service sucks. their installation is poohar, they aftersale service is none.
local companies charging minimum $5000 for gate motor installed, online a gate mote is about $100 USD and you can install that yourself with a 20amp double pole breaker and a 110v ac welder. youtube it and see.

Why u all think italian is good ?
yes tau is itallian and goood but that does mean everything made in italy good

stay away from brands you not sure about
i believe italians brands come with 220 so any thing 120 could be suspect
