JVC 55 INCH TV

Postby anthonyanthony » February 28th, 2017, 6:17 pm

People , during pricemart black friday sale in december last year , I bought one of those JVC
55 inch smart tv. ( model number : LT55KC76 )
No problems with it so far but I can't seem to get Kodi installed on it.
It does not have the google store icon , instead it has an app store icon which does not have kodi.
Can kodi be installed on this ... ?
From readup on line the JVC website dies not even know this model number.
I am also thinking maybe this tv does not use an android operation system

I think you may be right. You may need to get an android box/device to connect to the tv.

Use the web browser to download the kodi apk file and install that way

Will send a link if you like

I already have an android box but since the tv has already installed apps like youtube and netflix that work ,I was trying to use it for everything.
Thus instead of turning on android box and then tv, turn tv on to get everything.

They TV isn't running Android software, it's running a custom software created by the manufacturer.
If you wanted, you could purchase one of those USB Android sticks and just leave it plugged into the TV's USB slot.

Trust me... If they allowed Kodi to be installed on smart tvs normal normal then there wouldnt be an android box in the first place...

I have the 65" smart tv and installed kodi and modbro on it fine. Download a web browser, search for kodi and mobdro and install them from there. Works great so far. Only thing is you cannot install kodi builds that require alot of resources cause the tv wouldnt take it. So i'm just running the basic kodi jarvis with the plugins.
