Austin Mini Restoration... Hi MonsterPower This might help... Link--> WATER BLASTING: BEST method for DIY Body Prep!

IMHO sandblasting isn't a viable DIY option at home. The neighbours will shut you down in a hurry... & rightly so!
Even 'soda' will generate too much dust at home... btw NEVER use 'sand' for blast media... it causes silicosis!
A safer alternative is 'recycled glass.' I'm requesting quotations next week for 3 grades. I need a pallet (40+ bags) for the projects. If interested call me (Wade @ 684-4552).
Sanctifier wrote:How are you going to 'derust' INSIDE the 'chassis rails' & 'box sections' and between the 'pinch welds'?
If you don't, it will come back to bite you very soon... Image
Check Metal Blast (by Rustbullet.) It's expensive... but the alternative is Electrolysis (see thread.) I'm going there because I have 4 body-shells to do (so it's cheaper than commercial waterblasting)... but don't know if you want to go that crazy.

Allied had a set. Go back a few pages. I posted a pic and the price. Comes with 5 files. Reasonably priced

Went in Allied yesterday, they have a sweet stanley black chrome socket set (can't remember how many pieces maybe 200) for $770, think month end I will be taking one. Ratchets feel solid and the gears sound nice and tight.

Impact drivers are really meant for tigthening afaik, so no. An impact wrench is what you need.

I have that exact jack from Harbor Freight. Works very well. Still works after 2 years auto garage use.

Garage Wizz on the forum sells them as well although he kinda pricey for HF tools.
