seems like a 6" but ill need to confirm. I bought it because its a mechanic vice, they have engineer vices much cheaper and mechanics vice cheaper but mine has a swivel base. It has bigger models so i would like to believe its a 6".

overall good deal.

Where i could get a cheap jigsaw, its for a small project. So a cheap single speed would be fine.

never seen open end ratchet type wrenches...and i think ratchet wrenches are closed
open end flex head is common but costly
usual suspects in that area will be ft farfan, home mart and that place near chotoos hardware ( tool zone is it?)
he has cheaper brands neiko, performance tool, great neck at hefty prices

if the work area is not that tight you can consider 1/4 inch flex head ratchets

You can buy ratcheting open-end wrenches or combination wrenches with fixed or ratcheting box-ends. Brands sold locally that I know that make them would be Crescent, Tekton and Gearwrench. I can't tell you where, though.

Once you start using ratcheting open-end wrenches, you'll fall in love with them.

I asked someone and they said its just a heavier gauge brc(thanks car, didnt even consider that). Tmr ill call around and see the options. Apparently a 100 feet roll of the heavy brc is $1200. And places like varma also sell them in precut mats.

So I’m building this 2”x72” belt grinder.
The hollow square metal that I’m using is flexing a bit. Need to know if the following is available locally and if I can buy 4’ of each. Really don’t want to buy a full length of each. This size the recommended size from a web site.

Hollow square:
2”x2” 0.188” thick
1.5”x1.5” 0.25” thick

I’m thinking if I could get the 2”x2” in 0.25” thick instead.

Hard drive magnets are hit and miss these days
Newer drives tend to use smaller magnets

That is a long belt, what you using it for ?
Best you just build the whole thing out of 2"

For grinding anything. I need 2 sizes of hollow sections. One hollow section to go into another. Trying to this copy this picImage

If you can weld you could probably buy 1/4" x 2" flat and make up the tubes yourself

Yep. I support small hardwares, free delivery. No hassle. I could call and order and driver collecting cash.

I want to get one of those belt sander mods for a bench grinder, but I need to buy the grinder. Engine idlers usually work fine for That.
