The older white cooking oil kegs didn’t use to last
Uv sun would make them crack easily.

The yellow ones seem to last ok
Lot of mechanics use them

I have one of those blue containers cut in half... Capacity... Enough to handle 8 quarts.
I would like to know who accepts used engine oil for recycling or for disposal... Free options will be the best but I don't have a lot of options at the moment

I have one of those black ones from the parts place..paid about $40 I think. It holds about 8 quarts and has the drain neck.

Where can I get a die-grinder to buy?Allied doesn't have and I can't remember if I saw one in Bhags. Also, anyone ever bought the 220 portable stick welder from Edoo's?Contemplating getting one for some work on a house project. It is rated at 200amps and the Lincoln is 225amps.The main reason I'm considering it is because of the portabilty as I can't afford to leave any tools over there. The price is very similar.Which would you recommend?

In the past people here said that they carried their's to the Rahamut's service station in Cross Crossing, San Fernando. I carried a couple gallons there; they took it after making some fuss.

Now I just store all my used oil in a 55 gal plastic drum and I'll call Oil Mop when its full. Not worth the effort otherwise.

I've seen alot of people complain about the random Chinese ignt inverter.I bought a Mig welder from them a few years ago and it works great,no problems at all but I"ll check Ebay out.

I use a plastic dishwashing pan that I bought at a $10 store. I cut the top off of a soft drink bottle and use that as a funnel for pouring the old oil into a container. I also use a pop bottle funnel for filling the crankcase with oil. I store the funnels seperately in reused small plastic bags and toss them out if they get dirty.

Saw this place mentioned in this thread before but never saw it and I'm around Montrose often.

Where exactly is it?

ACE is a few buildings north of KFC in Montrose junction, along the Southern Main Rd . If you come off the highway , make the second left after Bhagwansinghs drive all the way up to the end ,and you will come out almost in front of them. They sell all types of equipment and supplies for automotive repair.

Thanks. When you said Montrose I was thinking on the main road itself.

Will keep an eye out for it.

what you guys think about the milwaukee replacement batteries for use in their m12 tools

major difference in price and all of them have 4.5 or 5 stars
considering buying some bare tool m12 and the "knockoff" batteries.
just for simple DIY projects, not any kind of professional work

for the price you cant go wrong
the other day I see a man buy a m18 for $700 or something in bhagwansinghs

all them tools using 18650 batteries now, if you good with a soldering iron you could buy loose and rebuild the packs, however there are wide varieties of those cells now
some made for short high discharge others for longer capacity
the vape guys run down the high current ones

You mean you can't just match the mAh and voltage?

they are all the same voltage but the a pack should be made up of all same cells
if there is a weaker cell than the rest it is quite possible that at the pack drains down during use the weak cell will be drained more and more and get damaged.

Agreed. The cells lose capacity and gain internal resistance over time. Mismatched LiIon battery packs are also prone to high discharge rate catastrophic failure. Also known as "Fire Failure." If you test the cells individually, you can try to match them but the best fix is using a single batch of cells to swap out all of the cells at the same time.

Some of the aftermarket battery packs are good and some aren't. If the price is right, I say go for it.

There are new batteries being developed that will make the current LiIon pack tools seem weak and heavy. You'll probably want to save some cash and upgrade to the new tools and batteries anyway.
