Have two, working very good.
Few friends using them as well.
Dc, cleaner weld and well 12lb weight is a no brainer.

Note, I am talking about the 220v ones, not the little toy ones pricesmart selling.

If u need more info pm me.

This particular pic IS Simpson strongtie.

Its 3 usd each but i want to look at one in person to see if it can do what i'm thinking. Allied is a pain for me to get to. Need about 30 so that price is a negative.

Want to do a wooden beam ceiling with 4x4 support beams and g+t on top of that. Need to attach/support the 4x4 beams to the brick walls. Trying to avoid cutting holes in the walls.

Going for the barn/beam look as best as possible with the wood sizes we have locally so the usual type of ceiling framing wont work.

Any other ideas to support the beams welcome.

machine shop or someone with a drill press
u could even use 2x2 on the sides and 4" flat in the middle to fit d plank....that may be cheaper

I don't think the Simpson stuff is really meant as main structure holding device,
At least not those.
They are really meant for just additional holding between rafters as usually builders just use a nail or two at an angle.
Those in the pic are just thin galvanlize metal folded to shape, prob 1 or 1.2mm thick

Hey guys looking for a reel lawn mower.
Anyone know where sells these locally?
I checked on the PriceSmart website but the ones they sell got really bad reviews so that option is out.

Whats the application if you don't mind me asking? Where I usednto work before, we used to buy marine grade ply to make speakerboxes from a place in Chaguaramas called Marc One. I can't remember the prices but I know they were a bit steep but you can still give them a call... 634 2259/1048. Hope this helps...

I think then you should really check out the marine ply. From all indications, the guy that was constructing the boxes was pleased with the quality and he knows ply... and from what I've seen the ply doesn't bend or warp

yeah all them ply they sell now cheap $150/sheet does warp and bend in the slightest weather change
want to use 1/2" and not resort to 3/4 for stiffness

not to mention wood lice and termite
