Above Is my current ram,
Apparently one of the stick don't work so have to buy a new set do I have to use back a 1866 KHz, cause not sure where I can get one on short notice so think about an 1600mhz ( hopefully 2x8 GB)
But if I do that Can I still use the 4GB one that's working

i met hcca (RIP) a night and he ended up building a cheap pc for me, a4 4000 dual core with cheap 1gb ddr3 gpu with hdmi output with 4 gb of ram and a regular 7200hdd, i was happy with this till i did a little research and after talking with hcca, the bug bit.
i ended up swapping out the ram and the cpu with a large air cooler (860k overclocked to 4.0ghz and 8gb 1600 speed ram and addded a gt710, went to ssd and hdd, this ssd made the most improvement imo.
now im on a 1600x with a 1050ti. large air cooler, full pwm fan controlled case fans, proper gaming case and full works, and i started with a dual core APU about a year ago.
Rebuilt this dual core system about 2 weeks ago on my own, did os install everything, gpu, dual drives, a year ago i didnt know anything, i used to look at people who used to build pcs as wizards. Now thinking back at all the pc techs that used to charge 500 to install os crazyy.
lemme post some tips i learnt along the way may help someone one day.
Dont let anyone chain you up to buy new hardware at premium prices, a regular used 4 core 4t/8t cpu can do alot.
Build based on your needs and your budget. If your budget is poor, buy a decent enough mobo and a psu,
Everything else could come later on.
SSDs are really something to be added to older units with mechanical drives, they really wake them up. Its a good idea to keep your storage separate from your os, SSD run os and basic desktop files, all long term stuff throw on the mechanical.
Airflow thru a case is important, hdd run hot, throw some front fans and exhaust fans.
RGB lights is cool but makes no sense, buy premium fans and components.
