If you have an i5 you can take up to 4gb
If you have an i7 you can take up to 8gb

http://www.asus.com/Notebooks/Gaming_Po ... ifications

you have ddr3-1333 so i assume u have an i7 processor. therefore you can take up to 8gb DDR3-1333
call me when you ready to upgrade. i have 8gb memory kits, ddr3-1333 for $400

That pretty dumb on Asus' part considering on Intel's site they say the max memory size supported is 8Gb according to memory speed.

Motherboard/chipset limitation perhaps?

Model of the Asus ROG laptop, On most of the models we have installed 16GB of RAM 4 X 4GB, I dont think I have ever try a 8GB stick of laptop memory on those yet.

Currently I am shifting away from Asus and into Dell XPS/ Alieanware Those much better for me.

U hadda troll Amazon and the other sites whole day 24/7 to get one for under $600US

Just this morning i see ah MSI version for $520 US.

Obviously the price gone up now.

Probably if you use this 'Order now and we'll deliver when available.' you'll get the low price advertised or something.

GTX 690 reviews:
http://www.guru3d.com/news/geforce-gtx-690-review/

http://www.hardwarecanucks.com/forum/ha ... eview.html

http://www.anandtech.com/show/5805/nvid ... tra-fast/1

http://www.neoseeker.com/Articles/Hardw ... a_GTX_690/

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gef ... ,3193.html

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2403891,00.asp

Considering a single gtx 680 is more than $500 us and this dual card is $1000US, this seems like a better deal. Plus u don't have to have a big case or a multi slot board to use one (to get dual gpu performance nah).

Throw a slight overclock on the 690 to meet the gtx 680's clocks and you have a winner here. :D

won't lie, liking this new reference design of the gtx 690, performance is pretty good also, close 680 in sli, only a few frames behind.

Who sells this card down here? And will it work with my laptop? G60jx?
Currently have a Atheros AR9285 adapter, AR8131 PCI ethernet controller and microsoft virtual wifi miniport adapter. Are all the on one wireless card or separate ones?

Glad to hear the card is being launched next week, but that is one poor review. No Crysis benches? No Skyrim? No Battlefield 3?

Nah man.

thanks for that info, but what about this:

Image

ever happened to any of you? and how did you fix it?

something like that happened to my flash drive once and I couldn't do anything (couldn't access anything, couldn't even format it). I just put it away in a draw. Luckily I had a backup :?
