Was really expecting them to lie down especially after that first goal but Zidane got caught out with that 424. His inexperienced showed there but not winning the group could actually be a good thing.

As winners: PSG/Arsenal, City, Bayern, Porto, Juve, Leverkusen/Spurs, Benfica

As Runners up: Leicester, Monaco, PSG/Arsenal, Napoli

Only thing is if Bayern and Juve beat Atleti and Sevilla top spot...then things get sticky.

A good week to put some distance at the top. Atleti already lost and Barca away to Sevilla.

That Varane-Nacho CB pairing shaky af tho

Well you know that's the script. You keep possession and we wet allyuh up on the counter.

Isco or Kova could easily play the Kroos role so iz no scene. Plus Modric is back from injury and Case won't travel to Brazil, two of the most important mids right there.

Modric yes.
Isco and Kova cannot hold it down like Kroos.

Depends on which position, Kroos natural position (CM when Casemiro is fit) or him as a makeshift DM because Modric can't play that 2nd role.

My point was that since Modric and Casemiro are the sure starters then Isco or Kova are the most able ones to fill in for Kroos

Fearing the worst for el derbi.

Casemiro unlikely to start, Kovacic picked up a knock and now Morata is out for a month.

Truly incredible performance. Been waiting for the day we bury Atleti once and for all.

No Sergio Ramos
No Pepe
No Casemiro
No Kroos

But still pulled off one of the best performances this season with Nacho-Varane CB and Cristiano as the 9

So many good things happened during the game. Lead +4 with Barca dropping points

Kinda sad Isco's season's best masterclass performance which pretty much saved the team and pulled out Modric's poverty midfield performance today, gets overshadowed by the easiest hattrick of Ronaldo's career.

Isco has the quality but when you shove him on the wing or play him deep he's almost useless. The way he controlled that game yesterday was brilliant and that was because he got his favoured 10 role with Zidane switching from 433 to 4231 moving Ronaldo to the CF as Benzema wasn't fit to start

Zidane has to show that he is prepared to make the big decisions not only when forced to do so.

I disagree, all true Madridistas know it was majorly all about Isco in this match and he is getting the deserved praises (check various sports media)....this is the Isco we want to see consistently and I hope we do.
At the same time any player who scores a hat-trick against this current Atletico Madrid squad deserves his own share of accolades as well.
