Is it just the time of day or I did something wrong?

I would suspect either not enough seeds, too many leeches, your connection is underload in your area.

However you should use port 80 instead of random port. Port 80 works better than using random cause its a port they can't throttle or bloc etc

Mines maxing out just under 300kb/sec. Since last night. Certain torrents not even downloading even tho it has 8000+seeders.

I uninstalled bittorrent and when I restart it's still there.

So idk

^ I does get that problem but very few times. Might last for 15 minutes to an hour but maybe once or twice a week. I don't think any of this will fix until Cable and Wireless gets approval from TATT for Flow Trinidad. One would assume C&W is very serious about proper service, though prices may increase but hey if thats the case so be it. I will take less speed for better service anyday, 15mb is too much for me.

open for me.

I get a more stable connection using my own router. I was experiencing frequent drop outs how i had it connected before. I do however need to replace my router.

+1 for encryption. I have the Turbo 15 package, I get great Netflix streaming, HD YouTube, gaming everything. Torrents I swear I was getting 1-10kbps. Tried Vuze, Utorrent, BitTorrent the same thing. Random port, port checker, port forwarding nothing..the same slow ass speeds. Came here and read about the forced encryption and behold 1.8MB/s.

Thank you to who ever suggested that originally.

wired connection is best for torrents.
port forwarded in router, random port on boot and encryption. max speeds, no probs here.

The problem with encryption is if you subscribe to private torrents from a website that requires you to login, said website won't be able to properly track your uploads...and that could spell disaster for your membership if you need to maintain a good ul/dl ratio.

So far I haven't had any problems with my seed ratio.

unblockus shouldnt affect your bandwidth tho as it's a DNS fix...

Noticing a lot of packet loss on my end... can't even play a proper bf4 game... will continue to monitor. Also since I turned on bridge mode on the MoCA Modem i noticed all the fancy record and start over features on the TV Box is gone...

thats whats bothering me about it :(

i get all the open US content i want but for some reason the latency and download speed goes to the dogs....kinda weird considering its just DNS servers.

maybe im troubleshooting it from a wrong angle

Even with forcing the outgoing protocol on utorrent it still gives a lot of trouble to connect to certain torrents, torrents that would have gone to full speed almost instantly on TSTT.

Btw anyone actually knows why FLOW internet has mini disconnects? you would be trying to load a webpage and it won't respond and your steam client will show up as user X is now offline user x is now online.

These disconnects last under a minute and you may hardly notice it cause most times you aren't loading a webpage you are reading or the video has streamed a great deal to the point where the disconnects aren't detected as the buffered part is already in memory and the video plays 1 second at a time.

But this issue with flow affects every user in Trinidad. I am just curious as to what might cause that?
