bought a crown xls 2000.. thinking it was 2000rms
initially was planning on buying 2 RCF L18 p400 (1000rms each) to be used with the amplifier

however the crown xls 2000 is only 1000rms
what subwoofers (15"/18") would you guys recommend to be used with this amplifier?

The used must be in full working condition.

need some help guys.. i have a crown xls2000 (believe its 1000rms @4ohm bridged)
i have it connected to my pc however with the volume turned up all the way the output is very low
on the amp indicator its light up till -10db even with full volume on source and amp and the output on speakers are low..

anyone know whats the cheapest way to go about to get more output from the amplifier?

also what to do a small setup with this single amp for the while with bass on channel and mids on another
one channel would only be 500rms @ 2ohm and most pro subs are 8ohm.. so i was thinkin mayb do 4 low power subs.. what are some gud low powered subs that would sound good with this power?

I believe it would be the line drive on the inputs that would need to be boosted.

Yeah the voltage is headphone voltage which is very low. .. you should use the line driver to get around 5 to 8v for the power

I have an xls as well but you need that 1.4Vrms drive signal for the amplifier to put out its rated. Get something to provide pre-amplification.
Where did you come up with those figures for your amp, I think it does more than that.

I have the XLS2500 on an 8ohm woofer and it is driven by a Mackie mixer.. No issues with line drive and power output.

Only now saw this....the music store in Mid Centre Mall has one for $8000...saw it about a week ago. I think Pharmacy Plus in Montrose has it for $7500 or thereabouts but not sure if they have any more in stock.
