KIA Motors wrote:Any one tried roof mechanics? They claim to carry the same brand as Varma i.e. Bluescope but the pricing is so much cheaper so I'm wondering how. It's so difficult to figure out. How do you know for sure you are getting what you paid for; the gauge as well as if its bluescope or not.

Simply ask them but the material supplier info supposed to be printed/marked in the underside of the sheeting.
Their overheads are less and not owned by big group or conglomerate.

KIA Motors wrote:I did ask... But how do you really know where it's coming from? Someone was telling me there are different grades so while one company might have a higher grade in the same brand another company can have a lower grade in the same brand. But both marketing "bluescope". Also the specs of the material is taped on the coil in a piece of computer page not on the underside of the sheet (correct me if im wrong). Varma says they are ISO certified though. So this has me leaning towards them coupled with their warranty against flaking (not fading)
I have a lot of concerns because this roof is running way above $100k
