Accident on Diego Highway 9-JUL-11 RIP Kerlene Scully

Now passed an accident on D/M highway.

What appears to be a red Mazda 3 crashed into a wall off the H/Way southbound between Wendy Blvd and KFC.

Crashed into the exact same section of wall where two other cars crashed previously (with deaths)

Firemen were seen trying to get person out of car with damaged wall still above.

The wall, already weakened from the previous crashes and never repaired (save for galvanize to prevent ppl from passing thru, made it easy for car to end up halfway thru wall)

The accident took place at approx. 6:30pm. Yes it was a brand new red mazda 3 sedan. The vehicle was in the same "hole" that was created in a wall off the highway where Devon Thomas of Richplane Rd. Diego Martin lossed his life November last year in a white B15.

If anyone knows details please tell us, as of now, the tow truck just picked up the car and the area is cleared. The wall however seems like it will fall soon.

The spot in question was turned into a small memorial site where relatives of Thomas placed the front bumper of the B15 in front of the hole and erected a few steel poles in front of it. Coincidence that the Mazda ended up in the same spot.

People who feel that they can drive will always find these "holes".
Did someone say new Mazda 3 - driver trying to learn the car and learning the hard way.

Oh!!!! This is what the condolences on Scully's page on fb is about; her name is Kerlene and she died in this accident... I am thinking that this is his wife. He owns Scully's Photography in Woodbrook. Hmmmm

Condolences to the family.
But I always wonder why there is a flat wall facing oncoming traffic around a bend?
It's a recipe for disaster.....what could have been put around that area was proper railings or those concrete partitions at that bend and some other areas on that highway.
