That looks like wild carrot to me. It's a common weed that is a tuber not a grass. That's
why it is so hard to kill.

JF.K wrote:Requesting some assistance...

I am totally fed up of this particular weed grass...
Gramoxone, Swiper etc not killing it.
All the other types of grass are dead in a few hours after spraying... except this type.
He survives and then overpopulates the areas where the other types of grass used to live.

Can anyone suggest a spray chemical to destroy it..
I don't care to ever grow anything in this soil... only want to kill all the grass.
Hoping to concrete it soon.

Morning or evening?

depends on the weedicide

read the instructions

some of them work good with no dew on the grass at all (gramaxone etc) and extreme hot sun and the grass will dry within a f ew hours

some of them work good with some rain that will carry the weedicide down into the roots to kill the weed and barren the ground for a while (roundup? )

just read the label

also you can mix in something like "Fastac" to make the weedicide be "heavier" so it wont fly as much

fastac is an insecticide so it will kill them annoying ants bachac etc

what type of grass?

if whitehead- herbinate

if you just want the grass to die and drop down fast- gramaxone, but gramaxone only kills what it touches, it wont go to the root and kill the root, whatever you kill with gramaxone will quickly grow back. gramaxone good if you want to spray today and light the grass on fire tomorrow

roundup takes several days to work but it works good for a few weeks, nothing will grow back, but you cant plant crops either as it will firetruck up the soil

Swiper works like roundup but it doesnt barren the soil

Basta kills everything down to the root and it also acts as a preemergent i think, so grass wont grow back as quickly. good if you gonna plant seedlings so the seedlings will have a jump start on the grass

Ronstar is also a seed killer thats good to spray before you plant seedlings

you cant plant SEEDS with any of those preemergents eh

Speaking of spray cans...

Can anyone recommend a shop that sells Royal Condor knapsack sprayers in the North? I've heard that they work well but aren't as expensive as Jacto sprayers.

Lol

Not necessary

It was just some grass at the side of the road. I wanted to do it without having any of neighbours complain.

I do it already in friday.

But good looking out

nick639v2, the plant grows back but takes a little while. Had that same experience 3 times to the same plant (zabooca) from neighbor's goat, and the plant took like 2-3 months to catch itself back. Goats eat almost the whole plant the first time.
