Do we really want our regional 4 day cricket with its ever so "high" standards shown live as a showcase for cricket in North America?

Regional teams seldom score 400. Batting is so poor.

meanwhile useless cricketers like Vinay Kumar fetch 1 million. No Ravi Rampaul there despite being the leading and most successful bowler in Champions League T20 history. Even Santokie and Badree not there.

Sammy as captain vs Australia. How long must this donkey continue ? Yeah I agree its better to stay and play in the regional four day...the IPL reeks of corruption. BCCI always bends rules to suit themselves. eg...no DRS when India playing!. lol

the aussie tour of WI is during the first half of the IPL and the windies tour of eng is in the second half...

clubs would've taken this into consideration given that rampaul is almost a sure pick for all the WI games...i'm sure a club will snap him up for small money and he may play a game or two but no one will fork out big bucks for him given his windies' involvment...in all formats..

narine and cooper aren't fixtures in the WI team as yet...hence the money spent on them....esp narine...

having said that tho...i'm suprised to see darren bravo has gathered 200,000....(i'm not sure bout that figure but its not too far off) given that he's just as much a fixture in the WI team as rampaul...maybe even more...across all formats...

in other news...gayle slams 165 today against windwards....take that WICB!

i disagree...let the players get a piece of the pie while they can....remember they can only play cricket for so long....and one injury while on international duty could mean the end of ur career....and the WICB doesn't fund ur rehab eh....ask dwayne bravo when he was injured while playing for WI a few years ago, that injury kept him sidelined for a while...

on the other side of the coin...fidel was injured while playing IPL a few years ago...which resulted in his back surgery...but like i say he took the risk while playing for alot of money...these guys have families to take care of and post cricket life to think about as well....ask all dem ex WI legends....viv...richardson...haynes...dem aint get one rasshole upon retirement eh...they have nothing...das why u see all of dem now sucking WICB rass to get a lil wuk here and there(manager of team etc) to support them in their post cricket lives....

let de men and dem maximise dey earning potential while they can...
