They have Nurse who is no great spinner...I woda play Chase as he bats better than Nurse and possibly bowls better...Pierre would have been a good pick as well.

Based on the cricket thus far even with the rain England, India, NZ and Australia have been a class apart from everyone else.

An England India final could be quite a possibility if they place 1 and 2 in the group table.

The well tuned teams with serious experienced members continue to stamp their authority.
Lapses in judgement by India, England, New Zealand and Australia seem to have been managed out of their game.
The approach of the top guns seem to truly magnify the weaknesses of others.

good to see mohammed amir quietly at the top of the rankings
he was a real prodigy before the match fixing scandal

wi bowlers could learn a thing or two from him
I see a pic in papers today of the bowling coach showing holder how to hold the ball
would like to think at this level they dont need that kind of lessons
but then again none of them can move the ball much in the air

England seemed just too relaxed even during the SL innings with a lot of laughing and appeared to be taking things lightly.
Complacency yields this kind of result and SL took full advantage.
Malinga continues to be true to his trade.

They saw SL as an easy walkover...This tournament gets harder for England from here...they have to play Aus, Nz and Ind still

Holding might have sensed it coming, he expressively noted the hyper extension and explained why that's not chucking.

India 224/8 (50 overs) against Afghanistan. Some fantastic spin bowling from Afghanistan.

I hope their batsmen can make those runs.

NZ - 32/2 (11.1 overs ) v WI

If WI did not give away so many runs due to poor fielding well ...

Anyway, dais it for dem in this WC.

Evin Lewis was injured before play began. He walked off in NZ very first over.
