FLOW HD Service

Postby g unit » November 22nd, 2011, 6:42 am

Good day,

can anyone give me a review on the HD service provided by Flow.

I am looking to upgrade and would like to find out if the service is worth it.

Thanks

I'm currently using the service, its ok, good picture and audio quality, but the hardware/software provided is not the best, the HD Box/DVR is laggy, I sometimes have to unplug if I change the channel to fast because it actually has to a take a little time to load the channel, and if it does not load the box freezes, also for some reason you arent allowed to take all the HD channels, you have to take packages. Overall its decent, but needs some more channels.

^ you have to wait until AFTER they show it and hope someone ripped it - how you plan to get BBC news in HD with that? Or even sports (ESPN, SPEED) in HD?

The only show i download from BBC is F1 in 720p and it normally comes out the next day or a few hours after.

Most TV shows not that hard to find

that's you - most people who watch TV in their room by themselves are usually content with downloaded content.

However when you have an entire family in a house accessing a TV for HD content you realise that you cannot anticipate what everyone will want and download it - that's where services like Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, and HD cable come into play.

Cant remember exact cost but its about $40 extra on your existing packages/bill etc, plus you have to pay a deposit on the box at the time I got the service it was about $1000, you get all the hd channels free for a month then you have to choose what you want to keep, besides the basic hd package.

Man I was watching some Euro qualifiers on HD and start to cuss. If you see the quality, not that crap TV6 does give we for World Cup.
