They claim that there was massive corruption in the last administration with the highway. I wonder if they ready for scrutiny

That highway is needed. No matter the corruption associated with it. Its a necessity unlike the brian lara stadium

Yes it's needed.

But so is the money that was stolen....there are other things that need to be done.
Right now citizens trading the shaft from Calder, for the OAS shaft for the shaft from the BLS.

I think south people have real love for cricket. It is fantastic that they will soon have a venue closer that QPO for international cricket. Like the BLP I think history will show that it was a great move. Imagine CPL finals at the BLCA.

Money was already spent. To me we would have lost.more by not finishing it.I say we should have a system forcing government to continue major projects

Yes without the BLCA it would not be possible. And the very party that gets most of its vote from south people refused to finish the stadium. What if PP had won again would they have allowed the stadium to go down to zero?

if was up to me, yes!!!!

what 'south' people like more than cricket is money. and unless all of us can sell doubles, alloo pie, anchar at the stadium, the highway would do much more to light up our eyes blue.

so, given the choice, we would prefer the highway... so we could earn money morning and evening monday to saturday, and then take een a lil cricket on a sunday... possibly sell a few doubles there too one time.

Minister of Works and Transport Rohan Sinanan has rubbished rumors that suggest that work on the Point Fortin Highway has been stopped.

At Thursday’s Post Cabinet Media Briefing he said Cabinet has approved several packages for work on the highway, which are available for tender from local contractors.

Government will be utilizing the money that it recovered from the standby letters of credit in the litigation with OAS to continue the work on the Point Fortin Highway.
