I dunno about the new qualifying format.

It seems they fixed the issue of limited tires with a free set but then implement a weird knockout rule.

This ended up with 4 mins of dead time in Q3. They need to scrap this qualifying format asap.

^ ^ ^ THIS!... Thank God everything worked out okay.
Even one of the BEST can make a deadly mistake... even at this level.

Congrats to Rosberg, Grosjean & Hass. Well done!

Thankfully Alonzo walked away from that, Ferrari looks much stronger this year, although AGAIN as we saw yesterday even with DRS enabled the Ferrari still could not pass the Mercedes, so obviously the mercs are more powerful that everyone else AGAIN........... so it will be of no surprise if they dominate again in 2016.

It was predicted from the first day of testing in Barcelona.

The Merc engines were able to run more laps in 1 week of testing than the entire season of F1. Might as well hand them the constructor's trophy now.

Very nice race. Verstappen kept a really level head to hold off Kimi. Although if it was Seb he may not have stood a chance. Nice the see the RB's up in the fight again.

Them merc boys making the off track situation a lot more interesting.

To be a fly on the wall in the Merc post race meeting. Niki probably ripped Lewis a new one.

Both drivers were aggressive, but Lewis knew that door was closing and should have backed off.

Decision from the FIA

Makes sense I guess. Both wrong and right as it happened so fast. I still feed for Nico though.

Looks likes it will be a good race tomorrow. Epic flying lap from RBTH and Ricciardo. They taking it to Merc now. And he gets to start on Super Softs while everyone else will be on Ultra Softs.

Verstappen tagged the barrier and crashed... starting from the pit lane with the back up chassis.... but... he could modify the feck out of his car since they will be expecting rain...

This is going to be a very good race.

I feel sorry for Riccardo.... Knowing what could have been if his tyres were ready in the pits.

Yep really bad luck for Daniel Ricciardo but great entertaining race overall. Looking forward to more of the same with both Ferrari and Red Bull now challenging the Mercs.

Race was typical Monaco extreme bore-fest. Last good race there was in 1992. I went and made myself breakfast during the race not worrying whether I would miss any action.

WSBK is where exciting racing has been at for the last good few years.

Would humbly disagree... If it was dry.... it would have been boring.... But because it was wet... That changes a lot
There were at least 4 crashes and enough tyre options to confuse most people. If rain had come down heavier in the closing laps.... Would have been the icing on the cake

Monaco is a procession even with weather woes.

If the track weren't so storied and historical I would cut it from the calendar.

Nice race today. A few little scraps, especially with Rosberg and Verstappen. Not as exciting as Austria but not as boring as Monaco.

Rosberg penalized for getting radio instructions on how to not destroy his gear box so now his second place becomes 3rd place.

I agree with less radio support to a point. With the cars being so technical its almost impossible to not give assistance over the radio. Like Lewis said, their are over 20 bottons with 20 modes and in each mode their are over 20 settings. How can anyone expect to remember than while drive at 200kph against other drivers.

Man just give them one of the old V12 engines with 0 electronic aids or monitors and let them run... stop only if on fire or something falls out.

They will run out of fuel...[SMILING FACE WITH OPEN MOUTH]
Yeah...I find it sad that the engineers can't aid their driver. It is sometimes difficult to identify who you are racing with for position when drivers are on different strategies. Also at the end of the day the drivers still have to pull off the move on track. It's very easy for an engineer to tell their driver to push... Buy of they are already on the limit there isn't much more to give
