What did u say Allergic2bunnyEars???

Didn't expect Hammy to run away like that. Didn't expect the Force India's to run so well. Didn't expect Lance Stroll to finish.

10 days till Melbourne. F1 season is upon us again.

Looks like RB and Ferrari made stop advances during winter testing. Merc didn't show off their potential as usual. Is this going to be another sweep for Hamilton or are we going to see Max and Vettel fight tooth and nail for the championship till Abu Dhabi.

Looks like a closer fight this year between the Mercs and Ferrari. I have a feeling it will be Lewis -> Vettel -> Bottas/Raikkonen/Max for most races.

Red Bull seems pretty confident as well give that they had an early start to development this year.
Also I expect/hope Ricciardo to outperform Max.

How would you guys be watching the races? Buying SkyF1?

Hopefully this closer competition leads to some exciting races. I’m sure there will be a lot of drama and fireworks at a personal level between Hamilton, Vettel and the other drivers. It will also be interesting to see how Hamilton reacts if Bottas is able to match his pace. So the off track drama might exceed the on track competiion.

Max was already rattling cages with his unreliable RB. Imagine the same aggressive pace while also challenging for the championship.

Bottas has alredy shown he isn't at Hamilton's level - no worries there.
Same way Kimi is no longer up to Vettel's pace as he gets older and less motivated.
Max is still too arrogant to consistently win anything

I usually either find a stream for Sky F1 or use Mobdro. Can it be bought locally?

I think this season Bottas will find his groove now that he’s more familiar with the car. He will challenge Hammy from within the team and we all know what happens when Hammy gets challenged........Hammertime. It will be a great season that’s for sure.

SkyF1 cannot be bought without a UK address. It really is a stupid setup. I am not sure about the F1TV that is coming out soon but I am pretty sure their will be a lot of sheit tying it up for us who live on de islands.

I will continue to stream on vipbox etc.

I am hoping for a return to form by McLaren and would like to see Alonso back in the fight for podiums.
I think Bottas can match Hamilton... But there is a different kind of driving style that develops after you become world champion. A style that doesn't have to prove anything cause you are or were the greatest driver in the sport at that point in time.

Bottas has never been a great driver though - at no point has anyone ever really looked at him thinking there’s a future world champion. IMO he was brought in as a safe understudy to Hamilton that wouldn’t ruffle feathers like Nico. A lot like Barrichello back in the day.

I hope FA and McLaren tank big time and have a lot of reliability issues, and moreso that Torro Rosso outscore them. I’ve never seen take as little responsibility as they did for a poor season, or seen a driver whine as much. Even MS, arguably the greatest of all time, never complained when Mercedes were shite.

Hamilton will breeze through this year's championship.

Anyway of more importance is MotoGP has started this weekend. This first race is going to be good. If only F1 could be anywhere close to the excitement in MotoGP.

Bottas is a good driver but he doesn't have the extra push in him to be a champion. He doesn't want it as bad as say, Vettel or Ham. To be a champ you have to be ruthless. That's why he partnering Ham. Good enough to bring the point for constructors.

Anyone planning to go to a race? Im looking at the US and Mexico GP. Possibly both if I get the schedule right.

Hearing that!

Zarco already has a lap record to get pole position.

I feel Bottas has what it takes to become world champion. He had to adapt to a new car which Mercedes admit had a very narrow sweet spot... He is also pretty consistent in terms of finishing in the points. We will see how it goes this season.

Zarco... One of the best over one lap... Always seems to fall a little short with respect to race craft... Reminds me of Super Sic

Since NBCSN lost the broadcast rights, being looking for the channel that will now show the races.
FOX sports has the rights and have sold re broadcast rights to ESPN2
Ofcouse we have ESPN 2 Caribbean so no F1 there.

So SkyF1 via mobdro will be my primary source now. It works well for non stop coverage. I would have both SkyF1 and NBCSN running and just switch inputs.

Good news is Fox on flow 245 and 246 will show the races and qualifiers as i found out last night while searching. I just need to subscribe for channels I will not watch after the race is done.

I simply cannot stand US coverage of F1. The useless banter and the excessive ads drive me crazy. I remember watching a race where Vettel was racing from the back to the front in Abu Dhabi with some brilliant overtaking. Almost every critical moment was cut for an ad.
