ok i'm just posting to find out about the rules for d&w 2013, so ill know how to prep my car for the category that i would like to enter, thank you...

Really u don't enter your car for a particular category, the estimated times of your car and the actual times from the events decide where u fall.
Just prep you car to the best standard and hope you land in a reasonable bracket.

Class 1 - 0-1600cc
Class 2 - 1601-1800cc
Class 3 - 1801 - 2000cc
Class 4 - >2000cc

Turbochargers you multiply displacement by 1.4

From 1-4 "A" Is open, fastest time wins. "B" competitors are selected by times.

afternex2... wait nah... is pot and kettle business... you don't know sheit and yapping about other people not knowing ? If you dunno... how you know the other dunno ? I dunno...

So far, the classification will be based on your actual times during the 'test' portion of the event. As Pete said, Class A of each Class will have no particular breakout time whereas Class B of each class will have a breakout time determined during the first event. As it is a new year there will likely be modifications to the rules from 2012. One of the rules additions specifically addresses the use of 'race tyres', which would push any entrant automatically into the 'A' Class of thier respective category. Safety concerns will likely be the same and tech inspection will be there of course. If you can is ready to run any basic event like an autocross or drag event, I'm sure it will be mostly ready for the safety checks for d+w.

All questions and details can surely be answered at the briefing next week. If you are not on the mailing list... here you go...

First event is on Jan 27th, briefing is at 7pm on Jan 23rd at Mosportt bar.

e.g if i were to go buy tyres an wanted to enter b class an then the rules state i cant enter B class

with those tyres wht u suggest i go in A class an get last place.

i jus wanted to know ahead of time thats all. so i'll kno how to organise my self.

i didnt know we prep cars in the last few days before an event.

Still yapping and not reading ? I mentioned the planned effect of race tyres in my post above... and no.. it's not from last year's rule....Race level tyre bumps you to the next category.

I suggest you attend the briefing.

simple question was asked here fellas no need to get alyuh panties in a bunch, d guy simply asked if there are any "new" rules for 2013 as there talks being spread all over about new rules being put into place and if this is true then i agree with afternex, if rules are to be changed it would be nice to get a heads up from those in authourity before competitors spend money on their vehicles only to be thrown a whole new rulebook a few days before the event, X2 as u rightly said all these issues would be discussed at the briefing but i'm asking u, if lets just say u are a gt1b, gt2b,gt3b etc competititor and you go and buy 4 brand new R888 that costs averagely $4500 and your times are averagly 56 seconds ok, and u are automatically pushed into and A class with times as low as 52 and 53 seconds, what would u do then?? would those tyres automatically drop your time by 4 seconds to give u a fair competition time of 53 seconds?

so before all of you try to beatdown a guy for a simple question, please take some time to try to understand the question first

Nismo... theres no fight down. The answer is to attend the briefing..... all the rest of the tankalang is ego the will be sorted out on the course.


Btw... afternex...what are you driving/competing with ?
