The govt would be hard pressed to let ttngl look bad
almost like how they said clico was too big to allow to fail

many non private entities are tied/invested/depend on ttngl

Propane, Natural gas prices at 2 year lows.

TTNGL tanking. $26 now.

Good buy at that price methinks. But no dice, I'm all in on NCBFG

Lots of small investors panic selling without understanding the fundamentals. Let us see how low it will go before big players jump in.

Guardian actually have one of the best USD and TTD investment opportunity available at the moment. Rate of returns are calculated every month not per annum.

Bumping this thread.

Whats the best option right now given the current financial climate?
Something low to medium risk that you can investment in for a 2-5yr or so period. At least an option where you can get back monies invested if it goes bust

Government bonds supposed to be safe. Low risk, low but stable yield, timeframe seems to mesh with what you have.

Better to get an online broker and buy some US ETFs that keep growing in value...like QQQ, ARKW or QCLN. way better than mutual funds and bonds

Best Way to Invest Money in Trinidad

Postby mirohid424 » February 7th, 2021, 5:09 pm

I've been working and saving up my money for a while now and I have a few thousand dollars saved up. I know it isn't that much but I want to know what is the best way to make the money grow?

Someone told me about the TTSE and buying stocks as well as bitcoin, but I don't know much about that stuff so I am taking any good advice that I can get.

I look forward to your best opinions and comments.

Thank you.

Well you on your own with that, I'm not familiar with index funds at all. I'm currently using the UTC Income and Growth Fund which is the least riskiest option around.

Not very risky to be honest. Maybe $5,000 lol. But I would do the minimum and all, which is around $2,000

Thoughts?

UTC Income and Growth Fund as well as other banks' mutual funds such as FCB Abercrombie Fund offers interest rates of 1.1% to 1.5% for the year so with your investment of $5000 you should be getting a whopping $7.50 for the year.

Again it's the least riskiest path you can take out of all these investment options available.

Best advice would be crypto for long term. That 5k could double or triple in less than 5 years, but it's a volatile market so timing is important and a gamble.

But go with a mutual fund or credit union savings plan is to want quick liquidity.

For a conservative investor:

UTC - 2nd Scheme - Pays around 1%

UTC - 1st Scheme - Price varies but if you keep your money for 3 years, you can get back your original deposit if it is less.

FCB - Abercrombie TT$ Fund - pays around 1%-1.5%
