On Saturday 13th July from 6pm till will be night drags and a couple Jet powered vehicles on display.

On Sunday 14th July there will be Drag Racing, A Car Show, Kids Zone and the Jet powered vehicles will perform.

Can't give too many details as yet.. but when I can, I will make sure Mods make it a sticky.

What's greater is that the event is an opportunity to showcase the many disciplines of motorsports which can be facilitated at the Camden airfield. So as Pandora posted and quite rightfully so:

^^ All those guys know about it prior and were invited to get involved. Actually still in discussion with them for exhibits at the event.

This July, Speed Promotions will present THE CARIBBEAN JET FIRE SHOW, a thrilling event of pure motorsport fun and excitement for the entire country, at the Camden Airfield in Couva. Inspired by the great monster trucks and jet vehicles of the North America, Speed Promotions will bring live to Trinidad - the greatest “Fire Show” and auto display direct from the Indiana, USA featuring “PYRO” one of the fastest jet turbine trucks in the world.

This will be a full weekend of family fun as apart from the thrilling excitement of motorsport action, this event will feature bouncy castles, kids’ fun zones, new vehicle exhibits, and a range of treats for everyone including live soca and chutney entertainment by two of the most energetic bands in the local industry.

Fans and general audiences alike will be able to participate the entire weekend’s schedule so get down to the raceway in person to watch some of the most amazing motorsport action this part of the world. The pit area is open to the public during the day on Saturday 13th, which provides an excellent opportunity to check out the local and international vehicles in a casual setting before they are unleashed on the track. Everyone is invited. The dates scheduled for this event is Saturday 13th July 2013 and Sunday 14th July 2013. Gates will be open from 11am for a full day of family fun.

Thank you for your interest in this event. As many people have been enquiring about the weekend of motorsport at the Camden Airfield in Couva, I am posting to truly to give as much general details here as I can.

On Saturday 13th July, there will be drag racing. The following details are applicable:

* The event is open to all classes of vehicles
* Races will be conducted under brackets starting at 15 secs to 10 secs. There will also be an open class
* Bikes will be run in 2 classes - 11 secs and 10 secs. Under 10 secs will be run in the open class
* Scrutineering will be in effect to ensure safety standards.
* There will be test and tune during the day from 11am - 5pm
* There will be competition racing on the night starting at 6pm
* Prizes will be awarded on the night of the event.
* There will be a race briefing the week leading up to the event. Details on the briefing date and time will be announced.
* Registration forms will be available at the briefing
* There will be live performance by chutney, rock and soca bands.

The Sunday 14th event is open to all showcase the following motorsport and feature displays:

* Go kart exhibition

Jus this morning I was explaining to the owner of a big service garage in central about D&W and how many cars / spectators it attracts...he never heard of it......one of his counter staff commented that they see it on trinituner.com..........bossman said he never checked out that website.........
