Just heard that a major accident took place around 6am claiming the life of one and injuring three others.Report is sketchy at best but it has caused a massive traffic jam on both lanes. They have not removed the body as yet.

Foreigner killed in early morning accident
March 7 2014

An early morning trip to Tobago turned tragic this morning following an accident which killed a foreigner.

Around 4:30am, the black SUV carrying 6 occupants, including New York resident Ernest LaFuette were travelling north along the Uriah Butler Highway.

The right rear tyre blew, causing the vehicle to lose control and slam into a lamp post, in the vicinity of Charlieville.

37 year old LaFuette was thrown out of the vehicle and died instantly while the five others are receiving treatment at this time at hospital.

Police say the occupants were on their way to the airport to spend the day in Tobago.

The accident caused a back up of traffic on the north bound lane which is moving slowly at this time.

strange i've never lost a tyre to a 'blowout'. Is that even possible with modern tubeless tyres?

Saw a Sportero on either 22s or 24s a few weeks ago, tyres smoother than a baby's bottom, some prefer spend over 20k on shitty rims than invest in proper tyres
