Three men who robbed a woodwork shop in Cunupia were all shot and killed by responding police officers last evening.

Details were still sketchy up to press time, but the three men, who were taken to the Chaguanas Health Centre after the shootout with the police, were not yet identified.

Preliminary reports said the men ran into the woodworking shop at Soogrim Trace last evening, where they proceeded to rob the establishment.

The men then escaped in a waiting vehicle but an alarm was raised by the shop’s owner to police officers who were on patrol at the time.

The officers pursued the getaway car and were shot at by the bandits along Egypt Trace. The police returned fire and the car eventually came to a stop.

The bleeding suspects were then taken to the health centre where they died.

Investigations are continuing.

politicians from both sides playing up in dey kyant when it comes to this issue & if they both really wanted it : it cud have been easily done & done yrs ago .......

Saw a vid on fb where two African guys walk up to a guy with a parked Honda civic and they robbed the guy and took his car!

If the police keep killing these men. How are these lawyers and Magistrate gonna make money. Yah know they does make a couple $100,000.00 when they can't afford a lawyer and one is appointed to them. The bank account does look real nice when they will fully prolong a criminal matter for at least a ten years

Witnesses can't die if the murderer is executed. It's when the murderer gets away only then the witnesses are in danger. We need a legal system that is no nonsense when it comes to criminal acts.
ALL murders should be considered a capital offence.

Rape=capital offence too.

Armed robbery=capital offence.

Funnily enough though I want marijuana to be made legal. FREE DE PLANT!

I don't like how the president of the Philippines makes drug possession a capital offence though. That's too harsh.

With that though this country needs more youth centers to lead the young in a better direction.

I don't like execution but sometimes it has to be done. However the best way to stop crime is to prevent it from happening in the first place. And that starts with the children.
