Depends on the industry, Construction could be from 8 K to 12 K take home, Point Lisas 12 to 16 K and oil and gas any where from around 15 k and up

12 to 15 K for state agencies like T and Tec and WASA

also depends on contract or permanent, contract pays higher but u out of a job when the contract done. permanent pays less but is permanent employment.

Unionised environments then to pay better but Unions are pressure for safety people. Every time is bargaining is Health and Safety Issues.

what ever happening to working hard and working your way up the ladder
not sure why people think that with all the qualifications in the world they can get a high paying job without getting experience.

I agree. Plenty ppl who want to practice safety have been clerks, admins and book keepers all their life.

An entire career riding a desk in an air conditioned office.

Safety ppl does get plenty money, ah goin an do dat.

Work a few turnarounds in the industry and build your experience and resume along with studies. Just be prepared to work 12 hours a day or night for about 30-50 days. Pay isn't bad unless your pocket needs to be deep. Good field but a bit saturated now so you need to be on the cutting edge. Again, get as much experience as you can and don't just do those short certificates, go higher.

Did my 10 Saturdays @ cipriani, then my assoc in osh, then y bsc in oshe ... Working for a enviro and waste mngt company with contracts from major oil companies with branches in 3 soon to be 4 other countries not only Caribbean... Nebosh ppl say nebosh is the best and bsc say bsc are the best... Review the syllabus for each and decide for yourself....

As for the MSC I was consider SBCS over Uwi but still undecided on that one kurma, a few of my friends are doing their MSC at uwi and have given really good reviews on it
