The sums while a bit large (10k ish) are no bigger than previous years and they were all approved and refunded in pretty fast times. That's what bothering me.

Had a similar scenario , luckily an audit officer called me, without submitting bills in support, I got a settlement a lil less than what was calculated. Ah take it one time

Guys, I'm filing for the first time and would like to file for taxes for the last 6 years. Where would I find the 2013 form on the etax website? Do I have to fill out the TD1 Request first and then it will ask me what year I'm applying for?

When you log on to your home tax page you will see under Accounts section your name, click the blue text named Account id and it will take you a page where you then need to focus on the left hand side of the screen. On the menu on the left you will see "File a Return as the last option". Click there and it will take you the page where all your outstanding returns are.

From there you just select the years you want to do

When filling out the online form the sections are there for each type of allowance. You merely input the value when you reach that section.
Wrt documentation you have to create a statement of expenses for the year in question and you are allowed 60% of your expenses as an allowance. There is no standard template for this.
You also need a letter from your employer stating you used your vehicle for work purposes.

These two documents would be uploaded with all the other docs (annuity statements, TD4 etc.) via the document upload section.

Isn’t that built into your TD4 from work , for the most out the letter where it’s approved from ministry finance

Already submitted my 2018 this week, so we'll see how it goes.

I entered the information for the two TD4s on two separate TD4s when I changed jobs a few years back. It totals in the end. You can't add both together on one form as you have to enter the employer information for each one and upload the pics of each one

You also need to do a letter indicating why you submitting two td4s. Simple stuff where you indicate you resign and when and then when you started your 2nd job.

Submitted my 2018 today. Will advise on how soon it is processed etc.

02/04/2019 - 2018 filed
03/04/2019 - Checked E-tax and the return has been approved
08/04/2019 - Checked E-Tax and the refund has been issued
15/04/2019 - Cheque received in mail

System seems to be working quite fast based on my experience.

You will need to provide bills to justify your expenditure. Below are some of the items you can claim as a traveling officer:
- Gas: don’t need bills for the entire year. You can provide for 3 months.
- Vehicle maintenance: tyres, battery, servicing, etc.
- Insurance
- Renewal of permit: if done within the particular year that is being claimed
- Vehicle depreciation

Note: 1/3 of the total cost of the above items will be for private use, 2/3 for work related use.

The 2/3 value is what will be used in the income tax form and you will need to provide evidence for this expenditure.

If your company provides a traveling dispensation then the 2/3 value needs to exceed the dispensation value if any claim is to be made.
