could anyone point in the right direction?

I think they stopped distributing those forms online awhile now. You will need to go into the office for a hard copy or do ur tax online
Is filing online easier than filling out the tax form ?

Yep. It tells u what to do and calculates accordingly. U jus need to have ur supporting documents scanned for upload

You tried a different browser? Because we did it from our phones
Just an update, got my cheque on Friday gone, so it took just about a month from filing to recieving refund

If you find it takes long, don't worry about it. You will eventually be processed. I received about 6-7 calls/requests from BIR Officers concerning clarification on documents submitted and seeking further documentation. I was prompt in hand-delivering all that was required. I even took their email addresses and followed up with them directly. Some even liaised with each other since several tax officers went through my file over the years and they were all prompt and professional. They have numerous challenges in there, from poor work facilities to system down time, staffing etc etc. but my experience from the above is, you will eventually be processed.

Yes online but nothing yet. I'll try calling them because I'm leaving the country for a while and I want to get the cheque before I go

Hi all, for the past years I have filed online.
Last year I daughter started UWI and I had to pay part of fees (not 100% gate funded).
Could I claim for that?
This part is keeping me back from filing for 2017.
Thanks.

You should be able to. I believe there is clarification info on the site as well.

You have to carry the policy to BIR to have them register it. After that your policy provider generates a yearly statement.

I did check on the help for that part and the said it's for foreign institutions only.
I think this is old info when gate was 100% but want to be sure.

The new policy is that it must be a foreign university. The only regional institution which they count is St. George's University (Grenada).

This same question kept me back too but got it sorted.

Any figures you providing MUST be accompanied by a scan upload of proof before final submission if it’s online.

I filed for 2017 and it was approved in less than a day. My 2016 refund is still pending approval and it seems that's because it crossed a $7k or so bracket and it has to be approved by a super. Well that's taking forever...

^^ its fairly easy, when you login there is a link on left side to file a return. Just enter the info required on the screens.

Scan your td4 since you would be prompted to upload it as well.

Thanks.

Any of your refund years was over $7k?

Read higher up that those over $7k took longer to process.
