Received the following from unblock us when i attempted to discontinue the service, yet to try though, not sure if anyone else received and attempted?

"Thank you for getting in touch with us!

We have an alternative DNS that has helped customers experiencing the proxy blocking error. We have updated your account in our system to give you access to those DNS. Please complete the steps below in sequential order

1. Change the DNS of each device to (64.145.73.5 and 209.107.219.5) or you can enter it directly on your router

2. Reboot each device after entering the DNS

3. Go to our homepage using a computer or mobile device and re-select the region that you want to access and make sure to click on "Update", click here for reference: http://screencast.com/t/4siEziTi

Note: Make sure to click on the orange banner prompting you to activate your new IP if you see one. Click here for reference http://screencast.com/t/XvHmAjfpslNZ

4. Try to stream a program

PROCEED TO THE NEXT STEPS IF YOU CONTINUE TO RECEIVE THE PROXY ERROR

5. Sign out of your TV/Movie Streaming Service account on *all* devices or computers. For browser make sure you clear your browser cache and restart the browser

6. Remove 64.145.73.5 and 209.107.219.5 as your DNS servers and replace them with 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. Alternatively, use your local ISP DNS by switching the setting to Automatically obtain DNS addresses

Note: This will temporarily disable our service

7. Confirm that DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 or your ISP DNS is configured by going to htttp://www.unblock-us.com. You should NOT receive all 3 greens bars and service should not activate

8. Sign back into your account which will give you access to your local region. Try to watch a program and confirm that it works. Then, sign out of your account on whatever device currently. If using a browser, make sure the cache is cleared

Note: be sure you are doing this using the same initial device *or* on the same computer via a web browser.

9. Configure 64.145.73.5 and 209.107.219.5 again as your DNS to reactivate your service. Once you confirm that your service is configured successfully on http://unblock-us.com, select your desired region as indicated here http://screencast.com/t/4siEziTi

10. Sign back into your account on desired device or browser and try to watch a program. "

forgot to cancel my unblock, so i have it again for a month. When I was having the issue of accessing the US netflix, they sent me the same recommendations as above, but that didn't work on my Roku. Guess I'll try strong next month.

Unblockus hasn't worked for me for some time. And their payment system is in a mess. I can't update my cc info with them even if I wanted to. I was actually going to try smartDNS

Their payment system is back online now. However, I still get the proxy error with them with Netflix.

Nothing at the moment. Have the Netflix region we ought to get and to be honest, I'm quite enjoying it. Some variety compared to the US regions.

smartdnsproxy has stopped working for me with Netfflix, but it still works with my apple tv to get US content. I just took of the Netflix option in the smartdnsproxy settings page.

Same here. However I am re-thinking because the US based region seems stable...for now. All the other regions still inoperable.
Kind of sucks paying for a quarterly service for only 1 region with an uncertainty of if it'll be functional.

I just renewed my SmartDNSproxy anyway because I also use it for Hulu, Amazon, Pandora, CNNgo and lots of other services only available in the US.

Did you renew through their site? I got an email from Bluesnap which was odd. I had to do a password reset using the account number they sent. It's weird to be contacted by them at all...I was dealing with SmartDNS site all the time.

Try PureVPN. It works for what you want either Top gear or The Grand tour.

It feels bad to see things like these happening. Netflix is going too brutal with all the VPNs out there as they do not want to show their complete libraries in different countries across the globe.

I feel that Netflix is behind some of the VPN providers and that by using their VPN we can get Netflix's complete library. Such as nordvpn netflix or expressvpn netflix allows access to US library. However others like Tunnel bear or AirVPN do not by-pass this VPN restriction.
Or may be new VPN providers mentioned in https://www.kodivpn.co/black-friday-vpn-deals/ such as Surfshark, Ivacy are still undiscovered by Netflix so they might by-pass this restriction.

These money making machines are just ripping off the users!

if yall just interested in US netflix, you could rent a VPS and install a VPN server on it for $2.5 or less per month. works like a charm with the benefit of hiding all your traffic so your isp doesn't throttle your tail during peak hours.

chaoticbeliever wrote:Ivacy is the best VPN ever when it comes to unblocking Netflix. Express VPN is a scam. I watch Netflix from Australia. Ivacy have a streaming section were you select Netflix, Hulu etc.. and it will connect you to a server that Netflix cant detect and play us tv shows. now I know every VPN company claim Netflix work, so far it tried 4 VPN services including ExpressVPN apparently its #1, but the only one that works is Ivacy VPN.
https://www.ivacy.com/download-vpn/

I use ExpressVPN and it works well with Netflix. Just have to select a server in California.

I am able to install the ExpressVPN app on my Firestick, and toggle it on/off easily when I need it. Sometimes local Netflix has a show/movie which US does not.
