Was the army van overtaking on the wrong side?

It does not look like the tractor trailer driver was in the wrong (for a change).

Any one notice where on the road the ttr vehicle was ?... and also the nissan had almost completed his drive .. not siding with anyone but is the driver of the ttr van supposed to be trained to avoid collisions ? Cus im seeing where he could have been courteous ...and draw up to the pavement ... but then again 3 subjects doh mean defensive driver.

I don't see that tiida nowhere close to completing that drive.
This is a clear case of the tiida making a quick overtake and misjudging the speed of the army vehicle and the men in the army vehicle asking, "where he going?".

Man in the teana is a kant. He rush the wrong vehicle if he thought that DF driver woulda been scampering to a side for him to squeeze through. I see this nonesense all the time.

Just saw a video of the accident. He wasn't overtaking. He did make a bad Judgement call tho.

Drivers unhurt in 3-car smash-up

THREE vehicles were involved in an accident in Barataria yesterday morning but there no injuries.

Al Muhammad, a 40-year-old heavy equipment operator and driver from El Dorado, reported that around 10 am he was driving his Nissan RG8 tractor unit and was pulling a crown triple axel trailer. He said he was proceeding west on the Eastern Main Road and turned across Third Avenue when a white Nissan Tiida “darted in front” of him and an army Toyota Hilux.

Muhammad said he continued proceeding west and a driver in a silver Nissan Cifero attempted the same manoeuvre but was unsuccessful and hit the trailer of his vehicle. He reported he did not know that he had been hit at the time because the the tonnage of his vehicle prevented him from feeling the impact. He said the trailer hooked the car and when the driver of the Cifero applied brakes it dragged on to the army vehicle.

Muhammad said his vehicle received no damage as with the steel “it was like an ant trying to bite an elephant.” The Cifero however was reportedly totalled and the army vehicle received damage to the right hand side.

No one was injured in the accident.

Barataria police responded and investigations are continuing.

I stand corrected. Saw another video that someone recorded on site and they seemed to be there when it happened. Eluded to the fact that the team driver was overtaking. He wasn't overtaking but still drove like a kant, according to the article. Take your time on the road folks.

You also need to factor that the trailer is a moving object towards the army van
