It probably does... I've hit some hard brakes with a tiida, vitara and fielder wagon already... all vehicles wheels lock up under very heavy braking... So I can't say something wrong with the 3 vehicles lol

Does ABS and EBD work differently in Trinidad?

Well you need to mash the pedal...
no pedal mash

no brakes,no brakes sound, no brake marks.

Fella, if you have proper working ABS, there will be no brake lockup. That is the sole purpose of ABS. It's right in the name.

Cars equipped with ABS can and often do leave perceptible measurable tire marks in emergency situations. This is not commonly known, since lockup is generally avoided or limited to only a split second. ... With ABS, the typical brake mark resembles the straight line skid of conventional vehicles except in one respect. Typical locked wheel marks are essentially straight, prominent from end to end, and end rather abruptly. Road surface conditions influence the length and darkness of these marks. With ABS, the typical brake mark resembles the straight line skid of conventional vehicles except in one respect. ABS leaves marks that are lighter and therefore harder to detect. Since these marks are lighter, traffic conditions, weather and rain can wash away these marks easier than non ABS skids. Therefore, extra care is necessary when examining the scene where ABS applies.

Correct and agreed, and I have made and seen these myself.

When most Trinis say no brake sound or marks, they typically mean no SKreeeeeeeeeeech and no 50 foot 11ses down the road. With ABS, this just does not happen.

Certainly looks like the police car is speeding.

And I cannot see blue lights or headlights.

If I were the police chief, I would be looking at dispatch details and radio recordings to determine if the officer was on a legitimate call.

Regardless, the pickup truck driver is guilty of "driving without due care and attention", given that he crossed in front of an oncoming car.

And regarding the officer's apparent avoidance of impact with both cars, I would suggest that after the first contact with the wall, the police driver had zero control over the vehicle, and it was just pure luck.

before we be quick to blame the van driver, keep in mind that if the police vehicle was really moving that fast, it would not have appeared to have been an obstacle to his turning.... then boom all of a sudden it's there because it was moving that fast.

If the police didn't have siren on then the van driver at fault but since there are no lights on the police car it look like the police just driving crazy like is fast and furious

That was brutal. Police speeding. Van driver made a bad turn without stopping for oncoming traffic.

Insurance will be interesting.

Van driver will get off unless the police catch up with him and file some charge from their playbook.

Me eh know what dem talking bout nah. You cannot prove their speed from that video. The fact is that the van turned into incoming traffic and caused an accident. Police could be going 5, 51 or 500, you have to be very careful when making those kinds of drives.
