Gramdpa was on the zebra crossing. If you see blood you would not believe, plus they had him baking on the ground for hours.

DMO's are on call but few respond without being picked up, had circumstances where I'd call a DMO and she's say "well I living Goodwood Park yuh hadda come pick me up" You now have to task a vehicle to go get them. Bear in mind this could be an hour or more after an incident because they answer the phone when convenient :?

Week days DMO are usually working in a health centre and doubling up clearing up some cases like rape cases . Most people don’t know this as seen here . Also in cases of murders they need to be accompanied by the police especially to some high crime areas. But as people say they are probably on lunch

Sooo, what is the procedure wrt going out on site? They find their way and claim traveling? Paid vehicle upkeep? Are they supposed to be driven to the site? Or is there no stated procedure for them to reach where they have to reach?

No problem if the choose to help out a different department and they have no cases. But their optional work should not delay their primary work.
If their attention to the other department is necessary, then that other department is deficient.

Yes precisely they have regular daytime duties that overlap.basically it’s a known compromise so that’s why there can be a delay

The position DMO no longer exists. It’s either MO 1 or PCP 2.
They have regular clinical duties in their respective Health Centers during the day, but will leave as necessary to take medicolegal cases such as this. Most times the police take long to call or the funeral home take long to attend. The rate determining step is rarely the medical officer.

So, dem "DMO'ing" for free?
If TTPS taking long to call fine, but if they acting like most public servants and using Trini tiem, then they need to pass the job to someone else.

Each aspect of this process has delays and its hard to say that it’s anyone consistently. In obvious cases like this it should have the option to remove the body but this is likelihood for a criminal case . Should the pcp2 / DMO get a bus route pass ? Traffic , local health centre duties , police didnt get the roster for the doctors , a host of things could go off

i could see that them fellas want to play they self and come on their own time. i really doubt police want to stand up in hot sun guarding a dead body.
there was a death in the family, and the day after was a holiday, so, the day after that, needed the backlog of the holiday to clear up, so the autopsy got pushed back two days. i dont know if that same office handles that. MO1\2...

overall, the place need a lil shaking up, to settle back in sumting a little more stream lined.
