know a few people using them, basically a peer to peer box using xmbc technology
they usually come with preprogrammed repository "sources" to pull listings from
similar to a torrent feed
others can also be added
the sources are folks who have computers with large collections of movies etc
and put them up for sharing

as with anything free, repository sites can appear/disappear anytime

I have one as well. I use a Armada Mach 8 box (Linux) and I download lists from a Iptv group on Facebook. I have Flow Turbo 30 package and it works very well. No complaints. I have a wireless keyboard hooked up besides the remote and I use a USB drive as a source for new lists and repositories.

For instance, There is a List from a guy named Vdub25 (check him out on Youtube), He basically makes lists comprising of UK channels (Sports and TV), US Channels (same), Movies, TV Series and that's just one. I have about 25 different lists on my Device and even have XBMC on my laptop. I watched the Manchester United vs West brom game in 1080p with no buffering what so ever. The stream came from NBCSN. I plan on attempting to watch the fight on it as well.

See the lists of different channels from different countries/regions. Whatever sports events there is, Whether it's Formula 1, Nascar, EPL games, Champions League, La Liga... Anything, You can find it and stream it.

Question... How did it handle the fight last night? I was wondering about how it would handle high demand events that would have lots of people attempting to stream.

I went with the crowd and watch the match, my neighbor who i sold a box to, said he had some minor issues at the start and then it went smooth throughout the match thereafter. I use flow btw...gonna update my box now.....

It worked well. Got a HD link to the fight and I had buffering at one of the previous bouts but it stopped after a minute or two and very stable after that. There were around 38 different links to the match, HD and Normal ones for you to choose from.

Gonna watch the Warriors/Grizzlies game in a few.

that's up to the provider you are streaming from and not the box you own.

Reports show that a lot of pirated streams were breaking down due to high traffic regardless of what box you were streaming from.

Whatever box you get, make sure it has an ethernet port.

It makes a HUGE difference if you have a wired connection. I've seen a significant improvement in speed after having wired my fire tv.

This is true. Ethernet is alot more stable. At least in my case.

I went through the stress of relocating the router. This made little difference. Ethernet all the way.

I have someone selling them if anyone is interested, $1000.00 comes with everything in box and latest apps installed... also with support and he will talk you though the setup and any questions if you need help or trouble shooting.
