Chicken Egg Shortage in T&T

Nowhere has chicken eggs , up north side seeing empty shelves with signs saying "only dozen eggs per customer " is there a shortage ?

where can i get today ?

Central too. Many supermarkets have no eggs for weeks now.

They still have the imported eggs?

Yup, they have the local ( Spring Fresh Farms) and the imported "white" eggs in yellow styrofoam cartons.The local is about $2 less and seems to be far outselling the imported

Have you used the imported? How are they? I use a lot of eggs weekly for baking orders but I've been using the local ones there in lieu of the crates I normally get

We hadda go back to the days when everybody had some common fowl in dey yard. Only time u needed to buy eggs was when yuh common fowl was setting, and even then yuh coulda arkse yuh neighbour for some (or just teef while dey watching young and restless).
Only drawback was having to clean fowl sheit in the yard, but then everybody had the same problem, fowl sheit was like a welcome mat in front yuh house.
