As the date of the next general election draws nearer, the two major political parties of Trinidad and Tobago are going for the jugular in the campaigning. However, putting the nation before their political differences, the PNM and the UNC jointly stated yesterday evening in a press conference that the nationality of all citizens who choose not to vote in the next election, will be changed to “Guyanese” and said citizens will subsequently be deported with no chance of a legal return.
PNM Leader, Dr Keith Rowley, said that the decision may appear shocking, but is in fact constitutionally sound. “Chapter 5, Section Everyone Says This, Subsection Read Between The Lines of the constitution of Trinidad and Tobago clearly states that any citizen who renounces their right to vote in a general election CANNOT complain about the state of national affairs. The word “cannot” means “incapable, not having the functional ability to.” Now, nothing in the heavens magically happens to render non-voters dumb and limp after an election. The only way for them to not be able to complain about the government will be to deport them to Guyana where there is no internet.”
Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar reluctantly agreed with Dr Rowley. “He is unfortunately right. We toyed around with the idea of putting all non-voters in jail and throwing the key in the same file we hid Section 34 and Reshmi Ramnarine, but B-mobile and Digicel save all their 4G internet for the use of prisoners so that would just be counterproductive.”
The Police Service Commission released the following statement:
“In order to find and arrest all non-voting citizens, CCTV cameras will be implanted in secret locations on the outside and inside of every single home in Trinidad and Tobago. Anyone of voting age who does not leave their home on September 7th will be arrested. Anyone who leaves home and returns with no red ink on their index finger will be arrested. Anyone who is seen drawing red ink unto their finger with a red ink pen will be arrested. Please be guided accordingly.”

In a matter of time expect more trinis to be heading over there. Guyana big in oil now and it's run by local trinis labour.
