MV Galicia Ferry

Postby fokhan_96 » September 22nd, 2015, 3:49 pm

Anyone here ever traveled using this vessel? How was the facilities?
Was planning a trip Tobago for next month but apparently both the TT EXPRESS & TT SPIRIT would be down for maintenance for the month and this would be the only vessel in operation. Not too keen about a 5 hour voyage though.

Where you got that information?

No schedule has come out as yet because they're about to implement a new system from October 1st.

Travel agents might be pissed about it so if that's where you're getting your information it's wrong.

the schedule is out on the ferry service website, but that it could be updated when the new system is implemented, I may have to buy my return ticket in tobago.

The schedule online just shows the Galicia sailing. Called a travel agent, they said no fast ferry sailing available for October.

Hopefully the new system would allow us to purchase tickets online like a typical civilized society, rather than waiting in long lines like is something free yuh waiting on.

Heard that's the plan. The schedule isn't out I guess because they want to do the official start of the online system with a fresh month. Hope it happens soon. I'm going across next Friday.

call around. try another agency.
There is no central system that governs all.
Agencies get a grop of tickets to sell. Which is why one agency can be sold out, and tickets still available at others.
