Radar jammers are illegal not radar detectors.

Radar jammers jam the signal so the police can't get your speed on the radar gun.
Radar detector tells you that a radar gun is being used in close proximity.

How is a detector illegal...I think the law has something along the lines of interfering with the measurement device. a detector should be legal according to the wording...a jammer on the other hand would be illegal.
I am open to correction however.

The new speed guns are lidar btw... Not radar

Laser jammers are illegal. They are also about the only thing that works against LIDAR. Veil coating is supposed to work fairly well but I have never used it.

If anyone wants a radar/laser detector, PM me. I have two that have been sitting in a box for a few years but they probably still work. The laser detection will pick up scatter if someone near you is being tracked. Or, they'll let you know that you just got a ticket.

The less we talk about it here the less likely the police would be aware about it. All the information needed is right here.

Quick question, everyone's telling me that I can pay the ticket anytime before court date. The officer tore the ticket like a "smart" person and blocked out piece of the writing which says something like I have 14 days to pay it ??? Some one inform me please

Yup and don't forget its $3k for dangerous driving. That's if you go really high over the stated speed limit. For the 100km zone if you go 140km its dangerous driving and that fine is 3k.

I never see anyone get that ticket tho. That is wickedness. You will hadda be brushing the policeman wife for him to be wicked enough to give you that ticket.

In addition to the ticket he might try to have a shoot out with you in Grand Bazaar!

Too soon???

I will try it to see if waze gets it right. cause entering and leaving the interchange is 40, but how long does it remain 40....the 50 sign is quite by lo it self, behind some bush, that is a good 400/500 feet away. it is quite an ordeal to move at 40km on the bypass..

I know people that went to court for speeding tickets and won the case because of the absence of signage....and we all know this is a common problem on several of our roadways

Saw some Police RAV4s with a camera mounted on the hood. Looks like they trying out the moving speed trap for timing now.
