120 is way too fast and dangerous for our roads especially the condition of our roads.

At max I could see 90KM/H but thats about it.

Besides nobody is going to enforce this law anyways so I eh know what allyuh worried about, just like how police turn a blind eye to people breaking red lights all the time so too will they turn a blind eye to speeding lets not kid ourselves here into thinking they gonna actually enforce this law. They might do it for the first 2 weeks then not bother like everything else in this country. Everybody gonna continue to drive 160 KM/H as usual.

Signed and message sent.

80 kmph is way to slow . Tried it yesterday in dry conditions. On average the cars around me were doing 100-120 and no errant drivers everyone moving as a pack .

Some more recent data would be better. Automotive advances must be factored into the equation.

This proposal is not safe when you take the attitude of the average T&T driver into account. Leave the speed limit on the highways at 80km/h.

i dont see 80 as the mian problem
what we need is a lower limit and removal of backhoe etc on the highway
most traffic on the highway is slow truck overtaking slower truck

Apparently all the geriatrics here with their Morris Minor that can't handle a nominal 20km or so more.

i personally have no problems driving at 80kms..as i do it regularly..my problem is the amt of inconsiderate drivers on the rd and bad habits.

I will like to see it from 80km to 100km and anyone notice its 50km when you reach the np area POS way too slow if the road is clear.

Many drivers don't demonstrate responsibility to have it revised. 80km is very sufficient for our vehicle population and road infrastructure.

I am ok with increasing to 100-110km/h but only on certain stretches on the UBH/SHH everywhere else should stay at 80 and even 50 in city centres

Years ago Imbert actually recommended a 100kph speed limit for a freeway they were planning to build - can't remember where they were going to do it
