IIRC there was an alleged plot against Kamliar that made international news during the PP's tenure. Nothing came out of that either.

When politicians eh have nothing of substance to bring to the electorate they does come with all kinda 'C0ck and Bull' story to rile up the unthinking masses because stupid people are easily bamboozled...

See why government schools especially in pnm areas are underfunded and under-performing? Can't have persons thinking independently and behaving rationally. Is either you in the pnm groupthink or you will be maligned and cast aside.

They underperform because is a culture of least-effort wins. To put effort into your work is to go against the values of the group. The exact same thing that happens in many private sector and most public sector jobs.

newsday said that police did investigate, spoke to many people including police officers. ultimately nobody arrested or charged.

That also seemed to be bogus, and an excuse to justify the SOE to rein in crime, which did little but cost us money in wrongful arrest claims.

I think its an excellent move- It should also happen in all the marginals-and lets see if we can get some traction on a 3rd entity.
