Now you see why they appoint Gary. Not to deal with crime but to maintain order if the riots start.

So wait, let me get this straight. UNC has failed the country as Opposition in Parliament where the laws are debated and passed. They have failed the country by not even attempting to give us a different and valid choice at the next elections. And now their facebook activists promoting civil unrest which will not make any difference in reversing any taxes or measures put in place by the Government, but instead just result in a lot of (stupid) people getting arrested, fined and jailed.

So their plan now is to attempt use the population for mere political leverage when the time to do their jobs and make a difference has already passed. Politicians really are a different, disgusting breed of manipulating scum yes.

Trinidad really is in the WORST states its been in for the past 30 years or so, crime is disgustingly out of hand, Police force with corruption now more than ever, Roads are the in a disgustingly deplorable state and the jokers who fix the holes apparently never learnt how to level a surface, Water shortages all across the country, total thievery in every state run company, Gas prices at its highest and jacka55 govt not offering incentives for those wishing to go "Green",small businesses are suffering and are being taxed more and more , tons of whats left of a "middle class" are looking for a way out of this sh1t hole, Tobago basically cut off and then being offered a life raft for transport, how much can this small island endure before it reaches its breaking point

Everyday should be like this morning. The much increased Police presence stopped all the kantish drivers (at least for 1 morning)

Agreed- but its once again because our Authorities are NOT pro-active , they only react to when theres a possible threat or Protest!

So in theory, it takes a possible threat to get police to actually do their jobs? Interesting!

IDB: T&T Govt spending among most wasteful

TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO Government spending is among the most wasteful in Latin America and the Caribbean, a new Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) study has shown.

The IDB study, “Better Spending for Better Lives: How Latin America and the Caribbean Can Do More with Less”, came out on September 26—days before T&T’s 2019 national budget was read in Parliament on October 1 by Finance Minister Colm Imbert.
