The one before was found decomposed down Chaguaramas.

IAM is still suffering from Shanons murder ..but let me share this inside information from the police. ..The younger boy was sick before the murder and he was given 2 days off starting from the day after. .the older guy got a phone call telling him not to come to work which he found to be very strange. ..When he took her upstairs ass seen on the camera into the son's office where he left her every footage after that was wiped clean in the 2 days it took them to release it...the police knows this and are powerless to do anything. ..because money talks and big guns are manufacturing evidence to convict him and take blame from the son...boycott them. ..keep sharing cause it csn happen to any one of us.....police that care.

Almost three months after Republic Bank Ltd employee Shannon Banfield was murdered, the preliminary inquiry into her killing is yet to commence.
Dale Seecharan yesterday made his fourth appearance in the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court since being charged with the crime on December 19 last year.
Yesterday’s hearing was brief as prosecutors are yet to file and serve the witness statements and evidence they plan to use for Seecharan’s preliminary inquiry and eventual trial.
During his previous hearings, his attorney Larry Williams, had complained about the slow pace of prosecutors in the case and their failure to disclose evidence against his client in a timely manner.
Williams had stated that the delay affected the start of the inquiry and his ability to prepare Seecharan’s defence.
Seecharan will next appear in court on April 3.

Reports of prior abuse emerge as Banfield murder case goes to the high court in Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad — As the trial in the 2016 murder of 20-year-old Shannon Banfield now moves to the high court in Trinidad, new information and evidence has surfaced and re-surfaced about the victim’s abusive family situation leading up to her murder.
Banfield, a former Republic Bank employee, went missing on December 5, 2016, after having gone into IAM and Company Variety Store on Charlotte Street in downtown Port of Spain, where she was last seen alive, reportedly running errands for her mother. She was later found raped and murdered on December 8.
Her badly decomposed body was found on the top floor of the IAM store in a stock room, covered with empty cardboard boxes.
The man on trial for the murder, Dale Seecharan, alleges that he is innocent and has been set up by Banfield’s real killers, in a cover up involving high-level members of the community and the police force.
According to Seecharan, junior police officers have said that a very senior colleague collected a large sum of cash close to TT$250,000 (US$37,000) to have junior officers plant evidence on him in an attempt to convict him of Banfield’s murder.
Just weeks before Banfield was murdered, she told her father, Richard Banfield, who currently lives in the United States, that she was beaten with a piece of pipe by her mother, Ester Sherryann Lopez.

Banfield sent her father, family members and friends the pictures of her swollen body and injuries.
Banfield was said to have lived with her grandparents because she and her mother were not getting along, and the relationship was extremely toxic and abusive.
Richard Banfield said that many times his daughter would call him crying, telling him that her mother takes all of the money that he sends to her for school and recreation, and in turn spends it on herself and leaving her penniless.
Richard Banfield has all his receipts from Western Union money transfer to show he did in fact support his daughter financially, as well as kept the text messages from her to support her claims.
After his daughter turned 18, Richard Banfield continued to send her money without Lopez’s knowledge.
Lopez also has a public record of inconsistent statements in court related to her daughter’s murder.
In Magistrate’s Court, during the preliminary inquiry into the murder and under cross examination, Lopez was caught lying by attorney Larry Willams on five separate occasions in just one statement she submitted to the police after Banfield’s murder.
Lopez gave six statements, all on record, to the police investigating the murder, leaving many questions regarding to her veracity on the issue of her daughter’s death and what else she knew, claimed she knew, or did not know regarding Banfield up to and around the time of her murder.
According to a family member, speaking to Caribbean News Now, Lopez had a close relationship with one of the owners and operators of the IAM and Company.
One worker at the IAM store who wishes to remain anonymous said that on the day Banfield came into the store prior to her murder she was observed walking up to another employee of IAM and asking for a Stephanie Jagdeo, a female employee who also works there.
The employee said that the co-worker pointed Banfield to where Jagdeo was; Banfield then walked to where the employee was directing her but she did not find Jagdeo.
The employee then walked Banfield on to the ground floor of IAM where they finally found Jagdeo and the employee left the two women alone and went back to the front part of the store.
Other eye-witnesses report that they saw Banfield and Jagdeo get into an intense argument, during which Jagdeo grabbed Banfield’s shopping bag and threw it behind a store shelf. In evidence brought before the courts, the shopping bag was found in the exact location behind the store shelf where witnesses say it was thrown.
After the argument between Jagdeo and Banfield, other eyewitness saw the store manager, Shawn Ramjitsingh, come into the picture in an attempt to diffuse the situation and de-escalate the tensions and then saw Banfield and Ramjitsingh leaving the scene together towards the stock room.
Banfield never came back down and was not seen again until she was found murdered.
After Banfield and Ramjitsingh had disappeared into the stock room, witnesses also recall hearing and seeing Ramjitsingh summon one of his subordinates to empty out the trash left in the stock room. The employee complied but never went inside the stock room itself but stood outside as boxes and trash were handed to him, according to his evidence and statements. He stood in the stairway emptying boxes and trash, according to another employee witness statement who was overseeing the operation.
According to a police statement at the time, IAM failed to hand over CCTV footage despite three requests to do so, in contrast to the immediate cooperation of other business establishments in the vicinity.
All of this leads to more questions and concerns as to who saw Shannon Banfield last and what actually happened in the stock room in question.
