Lamborghini seized in auto dealer business raid.

Police and FIB keeping us safe:

THE CHAGUANAS home of a car dealer was searched by officers of the Financial Investigation Bureau of the Police Service and Customs and Excise officers who seized four high end vehicles including a lamborghini last Friday afternoon.

The car dealer is the owner of another lamborghini.

It is alleged that the dealer corruptly used someone living in the United States to bring in the lamborghini on the pretext that he was a returning national.

Under the Customs Act, a returning national can bring in any vehicle owned by that person and be exempted from exorbitant duties.

Investigations by Police and Customs revealed that the returning national left the country after delivering the lamborghini to the car dealer which resulted in the vehicle being seized.

Newsday also understands the three other high end vehicles which were also brought into the country and which were also exempted from duties were also seized.

An investigation has now been launched to ascertain how certain vehicles were cleared by Customs and Excise without the proper documents and FIB officers are probing how the car dealer was able to import a number of vehicles into the country by making cash payments with US currency and with no paper trail to show how he came into possession of those monies.

The reason no names are being call is because I am almost 90% sure this is a squeeze by someone on the top who didn't get the money they believe they were owed for this transaction. Any time the law is being utilized to squeeze someone with money bet Yuh bottom dollar it's for someone else to attain it. The law has yes to serve justice to those who need it in this contry. The gentleman in question is going to have all his vehicles returned to him, no probe is going to be executed as to why there is no legal premiss to his business transactions and someone in FIB and Customers is going to be a good bit richer for it.

.....SAD to say I have little belief in our local justice system .....

Those are the same sorta people that like to sit at home and complain about T&T and point fingers,the problem with our society is clear to see,even 'decent' people are twisted and all to ready to throw any semblance of ethics out the window for self-interest,but most prefer to see the problem as a few areas with a few black boys killing each other for decrepit turf or committing petty robberies and killing the occasional victim in the process,no that always happened here,even when murders were sub-100 and cutlasses and daggers were the proffered weapons.

I hope they realize those areas are cooling down and others are heating up,so in other words the criminals who have been through the real battles are coming through faster that the young 'ambitious businessman' etc who sees intimidation,impunity and murder as a viable option in T&T now for even civil matters before the court,no one in Laventille or Enterprise kills anyone for such things,Trinis need to wake up,ALL!!
