What exactly do they ask you to do ?

The last time i went... After the pit inspection, you are asked to accelerate for a short distance and brake hard, then you have to accelerate again and use the hand brake to bring the vehicle to a stop

Like many things down here, the list is a joke. I've had people ask me if everything was in order and start checking off the list from the office. The most in depth one I've had was when the guy came out and looked at the tyre size. Pickup inspection is another joke by itself.

Once you have the certificate they cannot hassle you. It is stupid to want to enforce inspections and not have everything made available to the public since if you are in a roadblock and your sticker is past due, they will waste time pulling you over plus your time is wasted having to go back to the insp. station to collect your sticker.

Dpends on where our go.
When I went they checked chassis and engine number, mileage, insurance, certified copy (but the car was only 5 years old, so everything still mostly new).

Second time I carry a friend car(Peugeot) to a different location, the person checked, lights, tyres, chassis and engine number, milage, insurance and certified copy.

Not sure how they do it in the license office though.

A few months ago I carry CC and insurance for both cars. They didn't even check if I came with the cars. Paid fee, got certificate, left.

Was told by the receptionist in Caroni that they are only doing inspections on heavy motor vehicles (trucks.)

Pickups can only go to POS or Sando. Cars can use POS or Sando or the registered inspection stations.

Yes. 5 years from the year of manufacture. So it is due for a sticker.

Secondly I lost my documents but inspection was passed when car changed from H to P in POS. Can anything be done about it or I need to redo inspection?
