The pedestrian was clearly wrong.
However, being homeless, I'm speculating that she may have not been of sound mind.

The pedestrian should have used the walkover. The highway isn't meant for stopping to let people cross.

The blue RX8 did not need to stop as he did not hit the illegally crossing pedestrian. The blue car managed to avoid the pedestrian by veering right. I doubt the RX8 even touched him/her.

The person crossing stopped short of the blue car, forcing the black Tiida to veer left at the last moment but still hit the person clean on the right front of the car (as seen in pic higher up in thread)

Tiida hit them and slowed, the body landed on the Tiida also. Traumatic. unavoidable... I wonder if they will charge anyone ? Nobody driving is at fault. RIP to the fallen because it's doubtful they survived that mess.

News report confirms it was a woman. Not being reported as a hit and run either so it definitely was just the Tida involved https://youtu.be/VVBJk6ZHSfQ

Looking at the damage on the Tiida, it is clear to see that the person was not hit by the front of this vehicle but landed on top of it. The blue vehicle made contact with the pedestrian first and would most likely have the frontal damage to prove it.

Pretty sure it's the Tida.

Looked at the video again. The Pedestrian was definitely hit by the Blue car first. Check it out.

I went CSI on that video. Downloaded and went through every frame. Blue car pulled to the right and was ahead when the Tida hit. Plus if the blue car hit, the witness standing on the road to the left would have seen the whole thing and this would be treated as a hit and run.
