With respect to the chemical attack....

......Witnesses described how Tuesday’s attack unfolded. That morning, a network of observers was, as usual, tracking the skies to warn residents and rescuers of possible airstrikes. They spotted Syrian aircraft and sent out warnings on walkie-talkies.

Syrian Su-22 aircraft were then seen circling above Khan Sheikhoun at 6:47 a.m. and again at 6:51 a.m. One of the observers — based on long experience — believed that the planes might be carrying a chemical payload.

“Guys, tell people to wear masks,” he warned.

Witnesses put the attack itself at just before 7 a.m. A video of the area at that time shows three towering puffs of smoke and one smaller cloud.

Dr. Khalil said he and his wife were drinking coffee at home at 8 a.m. when he got a call and rushed to Idlib’s central hospital. He found 60 patients already packing the wards. His nose began to itch, from the toxic substances, he believes. Back in Khan Sheikhoun, new airstrikes hit a hospital and a civil defense headquarters.

Across the province, doctors were noticing symptoms similar to those from sarin. Some of the displaced people who wound up in Idlib in recent years come from the Damascus suburbs that were attacked with sarin in 2013.

One, a media activist from near Damascus, Moaz al-Shami, was sickened for two months by the 2013 attacks. Now living in Idlib, he was struck with the same vomiting and respiratory distress he remembered from that day.

His voice remained hoarse on the telephone two days later....

since the tomahawks were released....
"The Russian side suspends the memorandum on the prevention of incidents and on ensuring the safety of flights in the course of operations in Syria, concluded with the United States," the statement runs. "We urge the United Nations Security Council to meet in urgent session to discuss the current situation."

Duane 3NE 2NR wrote:"The cost of each Tomahawk missile varies, depending on the type of missile. More simple versions of the Tomahawk missiles cost $500,000. According to preliminary reports by Brian Williams of NBC News, it appears that the missiles used in the Syria attack cost around that much.

However, the Block IV versions of the Tomahawk missile, which are more complex and can hit moving targets, cost up to $1.5 million each.

The total cost of President Trump’s attack on Syria so far, then, is between $30 million and $100 million."

Well to be fair the Tomahawks weren't built specifically to attack Syria. There are essentially inventory on ships and with a 30 year lifespan after which they would be disposed off. I am not sure how much of the missile can be recovered after disposal however I am sure whether that is $30m to $100m, it is monies/cost already sunk anyhow.

I say everybody should leave these middle eastern countries to their own devices. They'd kill each other over who the "truer " believers are.

After 7 years of war Syria is finally driving out the insurgents intent on taking over the country with big successes in major cities. So the Syrian president ( a medical doctor by profession ) decides one day......"I know what ! lets gas some civilians today !".....makes a lot of sense dont it ?

The airbase was used to store chemical weapons until 2013, when Mr Assad agreed to the destruction of the country's declared chemical arsenal after his forces were accused of firing rockets filled with the nerve agent Sarin at rebel-held suburbs of Damascus, killing hundreds of people.
In early November 2015, just over a month after launching an air campaign against Mr Assad's opponents, the Russian military reportedly began using Shayrat as a forward operating base for Mi-24 and Mi-35 attack helicopters.

Is the outrage that
1. There were missile strikes?
2. Trump ordered the missile strikes ?
2. The strikes were against Syrian Government forces?

Barry been ordering airstrikes since 2014 on Syria either directly or as part of the Coalition to the tune of 7,912 airstrikes.....................https://airwars.org/

Because ISIS is each and everyone of those living in the Middle East and even abroad. Who do you really think is ISIS? a group of people with a specific number in 1 specific location? no ISIS is a wife in a household a husband, a child.

ISIS releases an issue of their magazine every so often where you can read about who is an ISIS and its just normal people normal Muslims not terrorists you do not have to be a terrorist to be an ISIS, if you read the interview they did with a Trini he revealed that he became ISIS in order to practice Islam 100%.

So to answer your question if America was to bomb ISIS they would be killing hundreds of millions of people and they do not have that much bombs nor do they have the money to build that much bombs. And there would likely be a very big issue with killing hundreds of millions of people, read the official ISIS magazine and they will tell you who is an ISIS and they state clearly a Muslim who practice Islam 100% is an ISIS. So literally anybody can be an ISIS, its an ideology if anything.

Bombs cannot defeat an ideology neither can it defeat an entire religion.

I think all the 'praisers' should go watch a movie called 'Wag The Dog".

Trump was in all kinds of problems. So what do you do to get the monkeys off your back? Bomb somewhere!!

WW2 started when Hitler took some German prisoners, dressed them up in Polish uniforms, killed them, threw them on the German side of the border and then said that Poland was trying to invade to Germany. This justified the German invasion of Poland on Sept 1, 1939. 1.5 million German troops formed part of the blitzkrieg on that day.

With 59 missiles, Trump has demolished the monkeys off his back (for now). Brilliant move!!

Remember the non-existent excuse the US used to invade Iraq? Who was the dummy they used to make the point?

Anyways, just saying.

I question Russia's ability to face off with the USA.
The Russian economy has been going downhill for awhile now (the same doesn't apply to putinites).
They would mostly likely resought to getting fanatics to do their biddings and bump gums like that in the UN.
..............US war infrastructure has proven time and again to be able to step-up (then again there is serious money to be made).
Capitalism vs Totalitarianism.

Russia is a failed country and the only thing they have to face off the USA with is nuclear weapons and that is mutually assured destruction and if Putin wants to retire with the $200 billion he stole from the treasury he will do well to know his place. Russia wants to be taken seriously but they won't be taken seriously because they have nothing we want or need, Capitalism beats all anyday.

With that said, the liberal left is far more dotish that I had previously imagined, this strike along with the people that Trump has put in charge of the military is proof that Trump is more Anti Russian than Hillary was. So when you think back at these so called claims about Russia controlling Trump etc you can't help but wonder how retarded can these left wing people get. All the people who said Trump and Putin are secret friends now look like the biggest cacaholes on earth.

I don't think things are that simple as they are friends or were in communication and so that means Trump won't attack Syria. War is war and it means money in the pockets of the warmongers.

Why not 200 trillion? It's not like evidence matters anymore. Word of mouth is where it's at.

Since 2014, the U.S. has led an air campaign against ISIS targets in Syria, but this is the first U.S. military strike directed at the government of Syria, where a civil war has raged since 2011.

I saw this report earlier on CNN and thought that look more like a warning shot than an attack.

the attack on the air base wasn't meant to cause significant harm. it was just a show of force. so claiming that it wasn't an effective military strike isn't as valid as it wasn't intended to be an effective military strike.

it was just a shot across the bow.

what russia will have to do, is play hard politics, use all the treaties and conventions and show demonstrate at length where americans violate. just show how much of a snake america has been.
when that is frequent and loud, then can they seek to put up a military opposition, and have public favor.
