All this Doom and Gloom about WASA

Did Desalcott close up shop? Why they not supplying water while levels low?

If government had their own desalination plant we wouldn't be in this situation. Isn't that the purpose of wasa to provide water which they can't seem to do.

Or is there a sinister plan to privatise wasa?

$71,000 to complete Woodford Square fountain

THE City of Port of Spain yesterday approved $71,800 to complete work on the fountain at the centre of Woodford Square, which has been under repair for some time. The fountain is normally crowned by a statue of Aphrodite, the Greek goddess of love, with her son Eros. The statue was repaired and repainted last year, but has not been reinstalled, and the fountain is not working.

Mayor Joel Martinez approved the funds after a unanimous decision by councillors at the monthly statutory meeting at City Hall yesterday .

Work was originally expected to be completed early this year.

The refurbishment of the nineteenth-century statue is said to be complete, but before it is reinstalled atop the fountain, a new water pump needs to be installed to get rid of rainwater which gathers at its base.

Going on 3 weeks now no supply to Rochard Rd. Tried calling WASA since last week lines always busy. May seek to buy water from the water truck entrepreneurs...shouldnt be vexed right... the entrepreneur sees a niche and exploits it.

Maybe the PNM is an entrepreneurial agency also...maybe all of politics is entrepreneurship....hmmm. Food for thought

Great is the PNM and we shall prevail

Very little water and PNM will still win elections

Unc made sure you had a decent supply and that was not good enough for you all.

Well take PNM and take the jamming

Don't complain, you hearing eleitauto, Dwane, fake rass, randy or redman making noise

I try to report most leaks as I see them, even if its in a random area and I'm just driving through. I think the more reports they get the more likely they are to try to fix them. I usually leave a name and number. They call back sometimes for more info.

Anyone who tanks running low try going to a nearby Fire Station and asking for truck borne supply. I requested it Saturday from Arima Fire Station and got it Sunday. For free as well.

Rains does create floods, not solve water woes.

There is a WASA app that lets you report leaks.

OFFICE of Disaster Preparedness and Management (ODPM) CEO Major Gen (Retired) Rodney Smart has encouraged citizens to purchase water tanks and get fire insurance with possible drought conditions next year.

days and days ah rain and flood, where is all the water going that the dams aint full yet? is it that wasa inefficient at capturing the water or is it evaporating to fast ? what really is the problem?

what about them small islands without a river and have to desalinate water? do they have drought or is this a next stunt to raise water rates? anyone ever saw the dam to see if it really low ?
